Jim Messina played a concert in my town a year or so ago. Fantastic concert. He came out afterwards and took questions from the audience, told the Joni Mitchell/David Crosby story when asked who was the most talented musician he ever worked with. I'm old enough to remember Loggins and Messina but wasn't aware of his work in Buffalo Springfield and Poco (considered one of the first country rock bands)

Great interview. Jim Messina is such a gentleman and tells some great stories. I love his singing and guitar playing. "Follow Your Dreams" is one of my favorites.

Yes, I think that you Jim Messina, are truly one the greatest guitar players of all time. I saw you twice in Hawaii in the mid seventies, and when you came up for your guitar solos, you straight out stole the show with 1/2 hour guitar solos, just blowing the lid off of the stadium!!!!!! Nothing less!!!!

I loved Poco and learned so much from them. My first work as a professional was playing C&W in Ft Lauderdale FL. Bobby Herzog Jaco's drummer and writer of " Come on Come Over" was our drummer. If I had only been born 10 years earlier I think I could of made it. But God's will is going to be done no matter what you want.
