I have only used printing services and you’re right…. There’s no money in that. I’m nervous to invest in a high quality printer and diy it because printers do become obsolete at some point and the next newest best thing is so much more expensive. I would love to get to a point in profits where this wouldn’t be such an issue. Could you recommend printers and how you’ve come to the decisions leading to your set up for diy printing?

I like the Epson SureColor line, I've had one for 5 years and I'm very satisfied with the quality. I did a lot of math to figure out the break even point after gear and ink and paper and decided it was the best option.

I've only done it with Print on Demand but I'm doing it at scale so I do this x100+ each day which I wouldn't want to do myself anyway. Yes the POD sites keep a lot of the profit but I don't have to have an inventory, handle the printing, deal with customer service, ship it, etc. I can use more of my time for designing. I feel like it's a pretty good trade off... of course I do wish they didn't take so much

I was thinking about dropshipping too at first but I didn't like the idea of not brand packaging my orders so now I wamt to print my photos first at my local store at every order and shipping it myself. If I see that I will have many orders I can buy prints in bulk because they're cheaper and at a higher number of orders (meaning that I also can afford to buy a printer) then I will print it myself:)). I don't know how much sense it will make to my accountant, but thank you so much for doing this video to show the real differences between dropshipping & printing yourself

How you're thinking makes GREAT sense! You have to test different options out to see what works!

You actually can never get 100% of revenue. You get to keep 100% of the profit. Big difference kids.

As long as you don’t pay taxes and use slave labor, you can keep 99%

Do they really take that much from the retail price? I've looked into some p.o.ds, the fees don't seem to be that much. I haven't actually done it so I'd like to know beforehand.

I've also ordered bulk quantities of a print, which costs less and I don't have to do the printing, but then you have to sit on hundreds of prints until they sell. So yes, there is something in between, but everything has a price.

It all depends on the printer's capabilities, and any printing will require a high-quality source image. 😊

Not really sure of your question. However, printing on canvas from a home printer might be a bit challenging. Do your research, find out what print places in your city offer and start from there.

im sorry but I still got no actual steps on how to do this. I know I can either print it myself at home or use print on demand.....still ZERO clue on how to start the actual steps of either of these things
