- For the younger hockey fan that didn't have the opportunity to see Guy Lafleur play, what do they need to know? How important was he as an ambassador for the game after his hockey career ended? Pierre LeBrun joins Gino Reda to discuss, and explain how Lafleur helped raise the skill level across the entire game.

Best ever and a very nice man. I met him once and he was very helpful and a good man.
It's been a tough week for hockey losing two legends that were just as amazing off the ice.

What a great great shot 10 had. I saw him play he's my favorite Hockey player. I saw him play alot against Boston WSBK . I saw him play against
the Rangers but whenever Montreal had a game on in the New York area I watched him play. I also went to Guy Lafleur night at the Forum
and we played Hartford.

Le Demon Blonde
Guy was the best in the world, the hole team was great with Ken Dryden in the net. He averaged 130 points a year, smoking cigarettes on the bench lol was as fast as the fastest guys today lol natural talent but also hard work, he used to sneak in the arena in Thurso as a kid by a hole he had made and practiced all night haha peace to all who comment from Canada, Québec.
Oh my God, I didn't realize he passed away until I saw this video!
I saw that ⚡😄
...2 GREAT HOCKEY ICONS Gone within a WEEK..A Sad Month and Year for me...Cancer get LOST.!
You two have been on TSN since the 70's the 1870's that is.
RIP
Hockey legend
Two guys (Mike Bossy and Guy Lafleur) i'll always remember for two things. Their illustrious careers is one. The other is hearing about how they would grab a quick "smoke" between periods. Let it be a lesson.
Caron and Lemaire have a lot to answer for in Guy's decision to retire from the Habs. Lemaire wanted him to be part of his trap defense strategy which Guy wanted no part of. Fact is, Guy's speed and tenacity had already made him one of the best back checkers in hockey. The Bruins treated Orr much much better. They nursed him even when his knees completely gave out in him. Another fact: Lemaire and the Habs would not have had so much success without Guy. Lemaire should have kissed Guy's ass instead of being on his ass. And Savard should've intervened on behalf of his former team mate. They robbed Montreal fans of years of Lafleur. Luckily Phil Esposito and Michel Bergeron, two guys who suffered under Guy's success with Montreal had the heart and the brains to bring Guy back for a finale. And he delivered, putting fans in seats that otherwise would not have been there.
Светлая память. Грустно
