Big Lou has the hardest entrance, but JV has the coldest entrance. He's number 4 on the blacklist, he's a good driver and he knows. So he knows he doesn't need a flashy entrance, his whole entrance never fails to give me chills.

And if you know the game, he also drives like this. Earl is one, if not the hardest Blacklist enemy in that game for me. Those races are so well chosen for his car. You really need a small, quick accelerating car with godlike handling, otherwise you won't even see the taillights anymore. You can't keep him behind you all the race.
When you think about it, when you race JV, you're racing the former #1 - _unless_ all the members that you race are all Razor's posse and they ran the former Blacklist out of town (or cheated them to get them tossed in jail by Cross). It's never made clear, and I guess it's not really _that_ important.

You know there could’ve been a kicker at the end of beating the Blacklist, just to assert dominance over. For example Taz named after a Looney Tunes character, would’ve been more suited in a pound than a jail cell.
JV will always be my favorite and then Toru and then Webster they are all badass, for Toru I can remember on one of my profiles I use the Gallardo I won from Ming and customized it to my liking and the sound it makes slowly driving just waiting to go places to the rain at the oil refinery and then Toru pulling his sweet SLR down through that waterfall was just epic
As truck and track driver I'd say that Baron sliding under the trailer is quite difficult to do. Another difficult thing to do is steering to the left and drifting to the right and stopping near another car like Vic. Earl is the most impressive as scenery impact and JV looks like a showdown and also has this unique starting line one in front of each other
I love that all of these blacklist entrances also pay a huge amount of respect to the player. You're given angles of someone prepared, unfazed, patient, and ready to tear the house down. This is most remarkable in the Earl and JV intro, which have the best scenes in my opinion.
The only thing I love about Ronnie is his song, an instrumental version of Celldweller's "One Good Reason" (the game itself is the reason why I ended up getting into Celldweller and FiXT). His entrance just pales in comparison to Kaze's because he's only knocked out one police car while Kaze got the whole department on her tail yet she dodges all of them (both their bio videos were switched when it comes to the number of police cars).
many years later, JV's entrance would inspire Payback's "Solar Sprint" race where all the racers use all the sides of an intersection as the starting line (except the side where the race will go) ofc, JV was the OG. but unfortunately, outside this race, normal races only use one side of the T-intersection.

Nothing got me more serious for the challenge than hearing the tower bell ringing and a face to face challenge.
