The jersey that was gone way too soon in the Reebok era was the Blackhawks Black 3rd as under Reebok Edge template they only wore it in the 2008-09 season. I know they were wearing the black 3rd from 96 but in Reebok it was worn for 1 season and fans have been upset ever since. Lucky it will finally return in a couple season.
@WindyCityHawkey unfortunately they never keep the black Blackhawks jersey for very long, no idea why. It's obvious that people love it, and for good reason!
I would add the Leafs winter classic that they wore against Detroit. Quite possible the best winter classic jersey match up. Even though they wore a version of that in the 90s, it's such a beautiful and unique look for the Leafs as an alternate.
Nashville's checkerboard alternate jersey. The navy and black shouldn't work together but it kinda does here. The small hint of ice blue on the logo pops.
Flyers 2012 Winter Classic jersey that became their alternate. Best jersey in Flyers history. Should have became their primary with matching away jersey.
Three of my favorite jerseys, the green Minnesota (sadly I sold mine - to my eternal regret) and the Blues and Red Wings jerseys and yes both of those in white would have been great options for reverse retro jerseys. Never really liked the Florida jersey though. And an idea for the Blues new winter classic - the RR2 yellow jersey design but in the usual off white - maybe?
From STL. When you showed all of the Blues jerseys together, the arch jersey makes the current 3rd look bad - mostly because they used the baby blue and made the blue note unbalanced, which drives my nuts. Not many love the sheet music as you call it. Most people call that look the clown suits. The RR1 burned my eyes. Loved the RR2. Yes it was different. Took the original concept and the RR idea to perfection. If you look at the RR2 actual blue note, I think that's where they got the geometry for the current blue note (worn since 1998). Before 98, it never had that shape aside from the concept.
@@jonathankarberg9985 If you haven't gotten the RR2, they're blowing it out in mediums and below: www.stlauthentics.com/collections/2024-summer-sale/products/st-louis-blues-adidas-authentic-reverse-retro-2022
One thing I noticed in the Reebok era is that near the end they did a better job of the NHL shield on the front; at the start I thought it didn't look as good...just saying
@@uglythirds that was def a nice touch. I think if they wanted to go FULL RETRO, Adidas should have used that logo they had in the 80s...the predecessor to what they have now...

Should be their primary jersey in my book.

@@chrisstrikes Yeah, that's a good point. Simple sleeve stripes made all the difference with that sweater.
as a leafs fan i crave more stripes and the 2014 winter classic logo

If it wasn't all SO DARK, I'd fully agree with that. Schrembs didn't even know it had a checkerboard until I pointed it out to him
That is an awesome Blues jersey…honestly Blues don’t have too many bad looks

Was just about to comment that. Its such a nice jersey.

That prototype would have made a ton more sense debuting in a winter classic than as a reverse retro

@@NickAdams1981 I'm glad Adidas kept it around, honestly. And I'm glad they swapped it for the old 90s shield on the Reverse Retro sweaters.
