    Would screws not prevent the board from expansion and shrinkage?

    How are you putting the screws in when your deck board is up against a house when there is no room for drill?

      @coversanddecks  Před 5 lety +2

      Steve Wilson There are a couple things you can do. You can face screw the back next to the house or what we do is use cortex plugs. It is a screw that goes into the deck board and then there’s a plug that matches the decking can you put that in that hole so you don’t see the screw. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

    more interested in all that tape and plastic and what that's supposed to do. Is that like a waterproofing scheme??

    Is there a recommended torque setting for your drill? I don't want to snap heads off

      I have never had a problem with heads snapping but then again I don’t use the camo all that much. Sorry wish I could be more help.

      The Deck Answers mine has a stop on the bit so overdrive isn't a problem

    The deck answers what type of deck do you recommend for hot dry weather? I live in CA central vally and during the summer it gets over 100 f. Would you recommend composite? Thanks

      I would recommend deckorators vault line. It is 30% cooler than other composite. It is also one of the best slip resistant decking. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching and the comment.

    How do you fasten the wall side of the board closest to the wall?

      We don’t use this system anymore. We use the camo edge. But you would have to face screw and use cortex with the boards close to the house.

      house machine To be honest I don’t use camo all that much. I have not use it on pressure-treated decking either. But I have used it on composite and have not had any problems

    Hilarious that you're 'selling' the Camo but the guy behind you is using a nail gun.
