      @Jose Catt yeah i do wish he would have preached repentance. He didnt actually present the gospel at all which is unfortunate, however he did pretty much say that God should be at the center which is very important.

Love the St Francis narrative which is also my favourite scene in the movie because of St Francis and the Pope's humility in recognizing their true vocation not looking out and pointing finger but looking at themselves as a sinner who surrenders to the call of GoD.

To date there is nothing that you have spoken that I cannot agree with. Like others, I too hope to be able to present these 'self evident truths' to those who will listen to me speak. I have learnt many 'in depth' truths in the past 12 months from you. Fortunately I remember well when God called me to ministry, 4 months after giving my life to Him, when the Elders laid their hands on me (exactly as we read in 1 Timothy 4: 14-16) immediately before being sent on 'Mission' to India. May god continue to bless abundantly your calling and ministry. Thank you. John Meadows.

      Jacegil, I am sorry that it sounds like you have lost hope. I for one have moved on from that. I trust in Christ that he will be with the church through the end of time and he will use everything that is happening in the church for a greater good than any could imagine, as he always has in our history. My focus is to grow in holiness and get out and evangelize. There is much work to do and little time to waste on things I can’t control.

    • @wenshan9101
      @wenshan9101 Před 4 lety +1

      @Jose Catt call anyone by any number of names and it will not fill the void in our existence. If you even recognise the fact that we are all sinners, you will also recognise that God has permitted the confusion we now face. Controversy is unnecessary because the message of Christ is profound yet simple. Live in its simplicity and we find no need to be entwined in the complexities of the world. Hope perseveres. Love sustains the will when faith and hope are placed on trial. We can chose to spread the message of hope and love to sustain a wavering faith. Or add to confusion.

    • @wenshan9101
      @wenshan9101 Před 4 lety

      @jacegil do you know him personally? Have you spoken to him on those topics? A judgment base on hearsay and conjectures is unsupportable. I understand your concerns but you must realise that restraint is often of courage, not cowardice. He has his ministry to consider. And it affects millions. Divisiveness has never been a position of the church because Christ exhorted us to be one.
      My reply to Jose Catt may be of some relevance.

      For 15 generations, my ancestors were born into the faith, lived the faith and died in the same faith. And through rise and fall, change and decay, God preserved the family.
      On the day of my confirmation, my dad marked my forehead with the letters 'INRI' and the sign of the cross, and said, "Son, never lose hope whatever life throws at you. Remember, God permits it only because He will see you through". Hope never once left me, even at the darkest hour of my life. God chose me, I couldn't have chosen Him. The wisest thing I ever did was to surrender.

I am grateful to live in USA, where we can point to these principles of equality and justice for all. Not that we have acted perfectly in the world or even in our own country, but Bishop Barron gives these public servants a basis of morality and urges them (and me) to reflect upon their calling and revisit that moment of clarity. I love all the words of positivity received by the words of Bishop Barron. If you want more of him to seep into your psyche please watch what I discovered just a few years ago..... "Catholicism". The "truths, beauty and goodness" revealed in this series is heart wrenching! 💗

    Inspired by the Holy Spirit, may you continue to give Glory to God to whom we all serve. There is Hope as long as we keep the faith. There is goodness in everyone and talks like this inspired by the Holy Spirit will stir that goodness in their hearts, we just have to trust in GOD's salvation plan for the whole world. GOD bless you Bishop Baron and thank you. Surely I'll be praying for you.

    Can someone have listened to this address and not be moved to do better, having been made aware of the “Theodrama” of our lives?
    Thank you, Bishop.
