I was pleased to see that removing the fuel tank is not required for the 2014 Patriot. Previous vehicles have required removal. I'm not very mechanical but even I could perform this repair. Thank you.
If I may add to the gentleman's video ( it worked great for me, btw)
1. You'll need a T55 Torxbit for the seat bolts- same size as for seat belt anchors. Stanley has a set you can get that works with your 3/8 ratchet. Just press firmly against the bolt to loosen, to avoid stripping the bolt head. My bolts, btw, were in front of the seat.
2. Your fuel pump lock ring may look different. Works the same, though.
3. My wife's 2014 Patriot did not have a lower hose attached. It wasn't loose in the tank either, I checked.
4. The blue plastic part that locks the fuel line to the top of the pump is essential so if you are going to reuse the old one VERY CAREFULLY remove it from the old pump. It is a tiny piece of plastic, after all, but if you crack it your fuel line WILL come off and you'll have an enormous fire hazard.
Anyway, it is a very easy job to do.

Does a 2013 Jeep Compass have two fuel pumps? one primary and a secondary pump.

Incase anyone is still looking for it, there isn't a Schrader valve on the patriot. You'll have to tap into fuel line. Take off the engine cover and you should see a line feeding directly into the fuel rail on the engine. It connects using a green/black plastic latch. You'll have to get a pressure kit that is compatible with this system. Most auto parts stores will loan you pressure tester kits, make sure to get one with a lot of connector options.

my guy did it without draining fuel and was fine...
I got as far as attaching the transfer line. My assembly won't seat, it's getting hung up on something somehow. This is frustrating as this is my 4th or 5th fuel pump I've installed in my lifetime working on vehicles.

I leave my car without battery 3 days. and now no show fuel level, and only show de compass in the panel... no light configuration, no permomance, no K/l ... what can I do ?

So how do you clean out your tank with this type of pump? Or is the opening big enough to get your hand inside and you just siphon out again?

can we bleed pressure of the system by removing the fuel pump relay and crank the vehicle? without using the pressure gauge system?
It will. The vehicle will start and burn the fuel off or it will dump the gas into the cylinders in effect flooding it since the engine isn't running. The gauge method is the cleanest.

Can a fuel pump be weak but operating, i have a p0171 code and have went thru everything else.
A weak fuel pump may throw the P0171 code. Other common issues with a P0171 code are: dirty or defective mass air flow sensor, vacuum leaks, fuel injector issues; dirty or clogged, bad O2 sensor.
If the pump is found to be weak; low pressure, you will need to do a voltage drop test. If the voltage to the pump is low it will not be able to perform to spec. Even a new pump will fail to perform.

I see no one replied. The gas cap open is about the evap system, which is separate from the fuel delivery system. The evap light comes on when there is a vacuum leak in the system and if replacing the gas cap doesn't correct the problem, then you have to look all through the evap system to find the air leak. Good luck.

We’re is the fuel filter located on the Jeep Compass 2008
It's on the pump. It does not have a serviceable in-line filter like a 90s chevy pickup. I just cleaned and prepped mine about 10 min ago actually (so easy) and I'm going to throw in a new one just cause it's so easy and cheap at work (autozone) lol. Now as far as replacement for what I've read there are some issues on installation with the popular warranty option DFG1140. Some say it either doesnt fit or the armature on the level sensor doesn't work properly...so I'm going to put it to the test tomorrow and try and keep you posted.

Sorry for the delay all- I think I just got a hammer and a non-ferrous metal (copper pipe) found a rib and tried to tap it back into the locked position. It’s not easy& I had a really unpleasant time doing this whole thing. Good luck.
I just went through 2 Delphi pumps in a 2011 Compass in 4 months. First one lasted 3 months second exactly a 1. I'm pretty pissed off because of tow bills. Pumps just start sputtering and go out. Double checked running direct power and grounds once they were out before returning for the warranty. Damn China!
Do you the ohms for the fuel sending unit?
Ohms readings for the sender are: Full: 13.3, Empty 172.4 +/- 5.

What could happen if I don’t release the fuel pressure?
It would just blow pressure off at the line where he disconnected it
