Thinking about it, it was kind of brilliant to make Kris's character (before being controlled by the player) a prankster, since that basically normalizes the kind of behavior many players are prone to adopt in these kinds of games.
Also unlike us, the player who literally turns on the forcefield on her and she has to dodge to not get zapped, she always activates it before you actually step into the danger zone. So while the player may or may not have just made an attempt on her life she's actually pranking harmlessly.

I think it's possible it might be a reference to a story? I think the story comes from the Wayside books but it's been so long since I've read them. Basically for whatever reason the characters get access to drinks that are supposed to taste like them but its logic was that if you tasted your own it was just water because it's the taste you're used to tasting all the time. Funny logic, kinda sounds like it's just a cup of spit but I prefer to not think about that part but the taste was different based on how whoever drank it felt about the character the drink came from. Really just kind of felt like this tea thing was a direct take from that and I thought it was cool but I guess it's also possible for people to come up with the same ideas. It's kind of a weird niche story. Unless that story was also referencing maybe an older story in a similar way. Yadda yadda something something drink people
I like how the second chapter is just filled with these random "Choices" that don't really affect anything and just let you see some funny dialogue My favourite one is a tie between: *Kris would know what to do CHOICES: "Point and hearts come out" OR "Eat moss" *... *Actually, maybe Kris wouldn't know what to do And the ability to hug Ralsei while posing to a photo on the battery acid ride in the swan
I replayed the ferris wheel part, and can attest to your choices not affecting anything. As a negative, I ended up picking the opposite of everything I would wanna pick and still using that save file, I PRAY it doesn't affect anything in the future lol "Eat moss" is the best option

I haven’t completely seen the snowgrave route, but this moment at 5:04 stood out to me. I know Proceed means something very bad, as in forcing Kris to make Noelle do fucked up shit that he completely doesn’t want to do. So in this part, is he fine with messing with Noelle, but REALLY doesn’t want to leave her behind there, and was scared of that actually happening?
When chapter 3 comes out I wonder what crazy Sha nanagins they'll make her do... On second thought somehow given how this series has operated this far. Somehow I have the strange feeling that I do not want to know.
My guess is that Kris is fed up of us controling his life for him. He wants nothing to do with all of our friends and despises the fact that he has been aware all this time while we control his body and makes decisions for him. That is why in the ending were we finish the game, he yanks us out because he hated the fact the we used him as an avatar and tries to kill us with a knife since we are represented as a heart though out the game.

I replayed the ferris wheel part, and can attest to your choices not affecting anything. As a negative, I ended up picking the opposite of everything I would wanna pick and still using that save file, I PRAY it doesn't affect anything in the future lol

My guess is that Kris is fed up of us controling his life for him. He wants nothing to do with all of our friends and despises the fact that he has been aware all this time while we control his body and makes decisions for him. That is why in the ending were we finish the game, he yanks us out because he hated the fact the we used him as an avatar and tries to kill us with a knife since we are represented as a heart though out the game.
