    Hi Steve, welcome back. Great video. I don’t catch on the price of these. They look decent. Especially Halo lights are more common in the Vehicles world. Why not Entertainment world. 60w is powerful for a small hall you say? Cos depends on size of room. Clubs and bar is different as they suspended from the ceiling or trusts pointing the floor.

      Hi Jefferson! So far I'm liking these little lights for their size/price/performance. My other mini beams are rated at 30w and these definitely seem brighter. They are $119 on Amazon in the US right now. Appreciate you watching this one!

    Great job Steve. Another great video. What kind of haze machine do you use? Also, I have seen other videos where people are making their own haze liquid with distilled water and vegetable glycogen. Do you or have you made your own haze fluid? Thanks again!

      I'm using a Chauvet Hurricane Haze 2D (I have 2 of them) Here's a closer look at it in this video: czcams.com/video/UiDafzU4P_g/video.html
      Both haze and smoke machines can be pretty finicky when it comes to filters and pumps clogging so I have been very reluctant to use anything other than "official" Chauvet Haze solution. That said, there are lots of DIY videos for fog/haze machines and solutions and there are probably some good options. Would love to hear about what you come up with.

    Awesome video, Steve! When you mentioned sound mode, I wondered something. Is there any light that has a "meta DMX" mode whereby you can toggle between DMX and sound active mode using...DMX/MIDI? It would be very useful for bands that have a sequence that they definitely have mapped out, but then there's a jam at the end that isn't planned. The last DMX command could be "go to sound mode". That way the band would still have some action with the lights.
    I appreciate you and your channel!

      Hey Jeff! Many of the smaller lights I am familiar with will allow you to access auto modes via a DMX channel (which is very helpful) and few like these will let you access sound active mode: amzn.to/3uqkjLT (8 different sound active modes on Channel 13 to be exact)
      Appreciate you watching this one!

      @@LearnLizard ok thank you. I have a very very specific question. My church is renovating and somehow, I got put in charge of the lighting (still not sure how). Our sanctuary is 50ft x 50ft, and it’s 12ft tall. We have a 12ft deep stage that’s running the full width of the sanctuary, and it’s 21 inches tall. My question is how would you light the stage properly for the whole service that comprises of praise and worship, and then the word? Band and choir are about 13 people total. I saw your videos on Sheds lights, and I’d like to use that to save on cost.

    Hello Steve, I want to ask if I could make movement cues with the fader based dmx controller. And I had a hard time trying to figure out how to set up movement, and after researching I just bought the ADJ Airstream DMX bridge. But still I am wondering how I can do movements with the fader control console. And during gigs I have to manualling go and set my lights to auto mode for dancing. If you can please help me and thank you!

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před rokem

      Those are good questions.
      1-With a simple controller and fixture (as in this video) you could program scenes where each one has the head in a different position. If you assemble those scenes into a chase you would have a "cue" of sorts with movement.
      2-Many of the smaller lights I have let you access auto and sound active modes via dmx which is a huge convenience. Otherwise you have to do it manually through the menu controls.
      Appreciate you watching!

    Hi steve, I've recently got this fixture but there seems to be a difference in software(if i may call it), for example the one i got has a 16chl and 30chl option and when i address it on Add 0001, it doesn't respond the same way as the fixture on your video though it's the same halo type of fixtire, how can i navigate with that

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před 5 měsíci

      Hi- The light in this video has a 13 & 15 channel mode, so your light definitely would have a different firmware system and respond differently to the DMX messages being sent. You will probably need to sit down with the manual and go through each of the channels with your controller to get a handle on what each channel controls on your light. Good luck and I appreciate you watching!

      @@LearnLizard yes it does actually, could you please paste a link if you've got a video just giving insight on how to read those manuals, i can read the words but can't really understand them on how to practically do it🙏

    Hi Steve, What does Reset mode do?

    • @LearnLizard
      @LearnLizard  Před rokem

      On most lights, reset mode will clear out anything that's been stored to memory (user menu settings) and restore the light to its original factory settings. It's a good "if all else fails" way to troubleshoot and fix problems when things are not working correctly. Appreciate you watching!
