    Out of all the major full-service U.S. carriers, all but one treat transcontinental flights as special flights, with extra service and amenities, almost like a mini long-haul flight. That one airline is Alaska Airlines. While other carriers use specially equipped A321s, 757s, and widebodies, Alaska uses their 737s (since their Airbus fleet is getting phased out) which are a lot smaller than what you would expect on flights this long and also popular. There is no extra service for the passengers in Main Cabin and when seated in First, you receive the same service you would on a short-haul domestic flight. This is because Alaska's fleet is very streamlined so they don’t really have dedicated planes for specific routes which is why there are no Flat-Bed seats for a longer transcon flight. Although the flight went well overall, I would say if you want a little more elevated service, don’t choose Alaska for a transcon flight.

    I swear JFK-SFO is like almost & sometimes 7 hour flight even especially in the Winter bc that season, the wind is going HIGH SPEED Eastbound pushing the planes slowing them down but SFO-JFK is like 4-4.5 Hours especially REDEYES bc the wind is making them go 700 MPH according to FR24

    Nice review! Trying out AS First class JFK-SEA soon as it was $1k (!) less than Delta (they no longer have Delta One to SEA), thanks for the thorough review

      Anytime! It was a very enjoyable experience and the flight to SEA should be very similar to the flight to SFO. That’s a shame to hear the Delta ONE service has been stopped to SEA. 😭

    Hello friend! Where did you buy the camera support that you stick to the plane’s windows?
    Thanks and congrats for the awesome video

      Thank you so much! I bought the GoPro Suction Cup off of the accessories page on the Official GoPro website. You can also find many on Amazon for half the price.

    I think I may have a good ear on this but the LEAP on the A320neo family is different than the 737 Max ones.

    • @theplanefacts
      @theplanefacts  Před 10 měsíci

      That maybe so. I have personally never flown on the A320neo so I can’t talk from experience but I know Boeing uses the LEAP-1B variant and and Airbus uses the LEAP-1A variant.

    Now all first class passengers don't get access to the lounge. Only passengers flying more than 2100 miles get access. Letting you know since your video said everyone gets access. This rule change about a year ago.
