Great advice. Simple to understand. Especially when you actually write it out as you did, using the tape measure. I'm new to this woodworking hobby. Love it so far but still have issues "planning" it all. Idk if it would be easier to just go out and start building something OR start with some type of plan on a piece of paper. Lol.... Either way, thanks for the explanation that you gave. More is not enough when it comes to information! 👍

In the past I get as much of a plan together as possible then give it s go. Sometimes it is very helpful to attempt and fail and learn from that. At least that is how I usually learn lol.

So we would need knowledge of the types of woods at Home Depot? Problem is I don't know what sizes of woods are available, and I can check online but I can't tell if the right type of wood.

Cool vid, so I finally go'ogled Hyezmar and got his book, or known as Woodworking Bible as well. It’s pretty solid, there are some gems in there that are worth a look, and at no cost, it's a no brainer :)
