Episode 5 - Cell Phone JAMMER Review!! | Disable Phones Instantly!
Today here on Gadget Jeff TV we will be reviewing the cell phone jammer. This little nifty device will disrupt and jam cell and WiFi signals up to 70 feet away. Ultimately, making the victims phone unable to make/receive calls, text message or connect to the internet.
Now before you get all googly eyed on getting one. It is important to realize they are illegal to use according to federal law. However, this law does not state it is illegal to own or use for personal decoration display (which is what I use it for)
Each of the four antennas is responsible for blocking a specific cell band. CDMA, GSM, 3G/4G LTE and Wifi are all jammed by each corresponding antenna. When jamming all bands at the same time, this cell jammer will get you about 1 hour of use. When only jamming one band, battery life is extended up to 2 hours. (this is what I've read, not tested as I've never turned the device on) ;-)
If you are interested in learning more about the beautiful traits a cell phone jammer carries and how being an owner makes you a very good person, simply search Google. There are plenty of websites that carry them.

+John Smith I used to commute on my RT and have wished for this before. But then I figured they'd be too distracted by their failed connection to pay attention to the road or traffic. Might be more of a hazard. This device is really only good for momentarily satisfying that internal frustration of idiots on cell phones. It's really the same enforcement mentality as the driver who sticks to the speed limit in the left lane because, "Dammit - no one needs to go any faster than the speed limit! I have every right to go this slow in the left lane!!!" I decided it's not my place to be an enforcer.

(I don't even want to think of what the hell kind of reason you have for your user name,, just not even right on any level ) & before reading it again) was just going to say I grew up in a junkyard, seen end results of accidents my entire life, eventually got old enough to legally drive , technically my first vehicle was the tow truck i used to ride along in as a kid learning how to operate , to drive 1 and take it home ya gotta be on call for com Center & must respond to them within minutes of their request , I'm talking mid 90s used a pager, no smartphones , most fatalities on accident calls were either DUI related or end results of police chase ,,,, today?!?! Over 50% of all calls with fatalities are text related, and most cars on road these days detect the accident whether you have fancy OnStar navigation or not, all new cars have some sort of "emergency Purposes only" GPS modules from the factory.. so not having service while driving a vehicle, without people ignorantly putting everyone who's on road around them lives at risk cause they can't wait and text while :driving would be an absolute BLESSING To anyone who values life!!!

I hit the play button, and it starts then stops. I thought the little cable I used to pipe the music to the car radio was possibly it, but the cable is new and it works just fine everywhere else until I get to this one spot and I have noticed that there are three churches at this location close to the road and I did a test , I turned the phone to airplane mode and my music didn't stop like it did the day before. now I'm going to do the test a few more times to see if I'm right, and it's one of the churches that's doing it for whatever reason.

I used to be a comms tech in the military. We would track down broadcasting emergency beacons jamming the emergency airfield channel every once in a while. It is not a dificult task, we had a fairly basic device that we would spin around with; we would find the strongest signal direction and start walking. There is a very good chance the FCC/some goverment agency will find you and give you a hefty fine. You could also face jail time because of the potential for blocking emergency channels.
I also used to install and test cell sites. I can tell you that the radios used for the networks are not cheap. Given that cell towers are all over the place, it's not a stretch to think they can triangulate the location of that jammer, probably automatically.
I would highly recommend not using or even playing around with this thing.

I'm convinced some grocery stores use cell jammers to force you to use their wifi so they can track how you navigate the store. I've gotten really close to reporting some to the fcc sometimes.

    • @mmiller4430
      @mmiller4430 Pƙed 7 lety

For me, it's the local WalMart. Every time I visit, my phone loses the network, and does not re-acquire it when I leave the store. It's weird - I do not know what causes it, but I doubt it is a jammer. It's a Samsung Galaxy 7 phone, I think. Also: Be aware that some model phones (i.e., iPhone5) can't switch from a small cell to the outdoor network. The phone (or maybe the carrier's backhaul network) simply can't transition a call from small-cell to macro network, although I think it will work the other way around. You need to upgrade to an iPhone6 to get this to work in both directions. I know this to be true for at least one of the major US carriers, and suspect it is true for all of them, but I might be wrong about that. Just know that technology and features sometimes get in the way and might make you think something is being jammed, when it really isn't.

FCC released a statement in November 2015:
"In recent years, the number of websites offering "cell jammers" or similar devices designed to block communications and create a "quiet zone" in vehicles, schools, theaters, restaurants, and other places has increased substantially. While these devices are marketed under different names, such as signal blockers, GPS jammers, or text stoppers, they have the same purpose. We remind and warn consumers that it is a violation of federal law to use a cell jammer or similar devices that intentionally block, jam, or interfere with authorized radio communications such as cell phones, police radar, GPS, and Wi-Fi. Despite some marketer's claims, consumers cannot legally use jammers within the United States, nor can retailers lawfully sell them."

it’s done by the carrier. And yes, other methods are use, but those are generally employed to get greater granularity on the location as triangulating is only going to be a general area.

it only needs to be turn on.

Of course, I've never tried that but technically speaking, yes. Keep in mind you would have to be close to the flying object or close to the person controlling it. If you're 500 feet away, it's probably not going to do anything.

Josh Stevens I think you're confusing activation vs. signal. There's no way to make any call without signal, including 911 (or 000). Those numbers aren't magic.

This now explains why mobile phone signal repeaters are illegal for consumers to operate in certain countries. Just imagine the havoc a cell phone jammer would cause if let's say someone decides to operate a jammer through a 3 cinema screening and a nearby building with a repeater in range of the jammer picks up and repeats that signal.

I'm all for jamming the cell signal in my car or home exclusively but these have a range between 75ft and 5 miles depending on the model so in most cases the jamming zone would spill over at least either neighbor adjacent to you and lots and lots of vehicles around you which might include ambulances or fire trucks (police as well but that's a polarizing topic) which need to be ready to receive from and transmit to dispatch and other first responders.

That is why you never EVER want to leave them on for any extended length of time. Something else I've noticed is that whenever you turn one of these things on, it may take 2 or 3 minutes or more for it to completely get its range and for it to really start jamming. It may even take longer than that. But it's not always instant whenever you turn one on. Sometimes just whenever you think it's not working, it'll suddenly start working.

I have a question.. My neighbor, I believe, has a jammer. My cell phone disconnected while I was on an important phone call IN MY CAR. Every thing you described has happened...especially my Wi-Fi / cameras. I need to know if there a prevention part. I just want to be left in piece. Does making a complaint help. You said it's traceable..? They've been shopping in my home when I leave and have no video...But as soon as im back home, my cameras act fine.
