- Life in Thailand can be simple.. live the life you want and not what you think you're expected to live.
Young family trying to make it work in Rural Thailand. It's not an easy task... We will share the challenges... the up's and down's...
if you have any questions I'm probably not the best person to give you solid advice but I will answer to the best of my knowledge and anything I share i've normally heard from a thai or a well established foreigner so isn't always 100% correct.

Appreciate all the vlogs its all good and genuine stuff from you mate
Thank you for watching another one!!
I consider it very informative when mentioning the prices of things in Thailand.
Thank you, I will still add prices. Will just chill out with it all
Just came across your channel, will catch up with some your your earlier vids and stay tuned.
Thank you, I appreciate you watching
Nice. Great video working on the house. Pretty truck. Beautiful family. Thoughtful ways.
Thank you for watching, appreciate it!
Nice vid Drew, now I am going back to my roots as a old construction bloke, suggest when your wall render is fully cured apply a couple of coats of quality penetrating primer sealer to both sides of the wall before top coat painting colour, that will help prevent future water damage / mould etc.
Thank you I appreciate the advice. I will certainly look into this and end up doing!
Good stuff mate, glad your enjoying life bud đ
Thank you, Yeah loving it right now!
Great vlogđ
Thank you appreciate it!
Everyone in the village should team up and buy and share needed common items! Presure washer, vacuums, lawn equipment rather than every one buying their own. Everyone chips in for maintenance. Why buy things you don't use that often go idle ! Just a thought!
Didn't think you sounded like a second hand car salesman personally. Enjoyed your vids. Keep it fun for yourself and don't take comments too seriously. The wife travelled up from bkk yesterday. Said the roads were bad and had to take a different route nearby Cambodia border. Stay safe.
Thank you appreciate the comment, not looking forward to the drive but shouldn't be as bad going towards bangkok hopefully :)
Your yards looking food with the wall. The front yard will look great too with the stones instead of mud. Nice upgrades đ
Thanks mate đ
Great video nice to meet you my name is Dave I live in Surin have a great day
Thank you and nice to meet you!
We have a hoover, the brush job does not hack it with the dog hairs and as you said great for the corners ect.
Glad it's not just me that feels like it needed! Thanks for watching
I hope the rain holds off mate.
Thanks, no sign of it stopping anytime soon! Apparently rained every day I've been away this week
Nice video as always mate . Aren't the backyard walls gonna block off the Sun of your flower and veggie beds? I'm not an expert by any means, just being curios (if i do it myself one day in the future)
Thank you, I have watched the sun lately and there will be times we get a bit of shade but overall looks pretty good! Its just going be a bit of practice / fun in the back yard so will do some experimenting :)
â@@lifeinisanlooking forward to your experiments which might turn into great tips for us beginners
I think you are right. Some Thai CZcamsrs give you the cost of ever piece of TP. Really - culture, relationships, Thai history of Isan, etc., are more interesting.
Yeah I just think i needed to tone it down and not go in the direction of money subjects all the time
First time watching you , seems to be fine ,just be you good enough for me.
Thank you appreciate it!
@@lifeinisan my pleasure.
good going away from money talks. gets real boring quick. you have a lot more fun subjects to talk about with just being yourself.
Yeah someone mentioned I was going back to the roots of a car salesman and it hit me like a ton of bricks, I've grown past that now and I'm not here to sell the "dream" thanks for watching
Thai people dont use vaccums because the air circulating from the motor just sends dust flying which then settles an hour after you think you have finished vaccuming. Brush is best for indoor use.
That makes sense, thanks for watching!
muriatic acid is good to apply to concrete before power wash.
Thank you, appreciate the tip
dig a small drain along the side of the road, start high at the end your at then low other end so it drains away then drop a novacoil in and fill it up with scoria, then the water will drain away
We done our attempt of a drain, now go to wait for another big rain, appreciate the suggestion! Thanks for watching
@@lifeinisan yea i made the comment then a couple minutes later in the video sure enough a drain was dug haha

How much was the jet/pressure washer? Because the one you used didn't look powerful. We need one for our concrete drive way (100 years old)
Mine was like 3000baht and its not as strong as id want, okay for the car but wish I paid more and got a stronger one, thank you for watching
Jet washers in the UK are much cheaper than in Thailand.
when you find the pipe spray a arrow on the edge of drive
Thank you, yeah I should go do that now
global house, homepro, thai watsadu, etc are popular among expats trying to buy some of the toys they grow up with. lol.
Yeah for sure! Thanks for watching
I bought a hoover for our house in Ayutthaya .
I feel like you just can't clean the floors properly without one
You need to put weed mat under the rocks. Day to day vlog are great. Let's see the Bangkok trip.
I hopefully the weed killer helps for a little while but I guess no mat will mean a return for them. I will see what I can do! Thanks for watching
When we built our house in Trat I had to go to gobal house every day for 4 months coz the builder wasn't organized
Oh that sounds rough, was it far? Wasn't quite as bad for us. All the staff knew us and was ready to sell us the next part of the build haha
@@lifeinisan Yeh 40 km round trip from coming from the UK and working in construction for over 20 years some of the build wasn't good but the wife wouldn't let me yak yak them 555
I bet it was hard to keep out of it haha!
Just caught your video, have you got the cost of the house.
Thank you for waching, we around the 900k mark right now
@@lifeinisan you mean baht not pounds one thinks.
im listening, but dont see your wife or partner
Shes a bit shy, in the videos at times but normally doing something and doesn't say anything haha. Thanks for watching
Dont go broke in the boonies .
I will certainly true not to, thanks for watching!
