I have m3 vert lets gooooo, at exactly 30:52 while you have the tonneau cover open there are drains you can clear out that might stop the water accumulating in the trunk/back seat you can see it on the right of the rusty bolt
Hey, I haven't used IG for years but I had followed you on there. Glad to to find you have a YT channel! I see I'll have lots of good videos to watch!
Thank you, yeah IG is pretty dead now. I rarely post on there
That dope bro love it 😍
just did BC coils on my friends E36 323Ci yesterday and u just made me so mad with how easy u did that😭 i’ve never done coils before i took off the whole breaks , wheels bearing , heat shield , and lemme tell ya it took me around 6 hours to just the fronts😭 doing the rear today and imma do it much better thank u
Ohh lawd!!! That just went from a 0 too a 10!!!🔥🔥
Looks great, nice job! obviously lower in the future but great start!
Looks amazing fam
Clean af 🔥🔥🔥
So FRESH & CLEAN 🧽 VERT FOR THE 🏆 .
Well done bro!!!!!!!!!
amazing bro! Didnt realise how easy it is to fit coilovers on the verts. Definitly gave me confidence 😂
Dig the new ride, I think the blue looks great against those silver wheels!
looks fire
Now I'm starting to regret getting an E39 instead of the 36 I was looking at.
Them ssr’s go hard
Yoooo i saw you on 85 this morning. I was in the e46 m3. Car is looking good bro 👌🏾
Haha wassup man
Looking good
Please start this build. Definitely one of my fav cars ever
18s ftw 🙌🏽
18s were a good choice 🙌
I'm contemplating whether to install deep dished JDM wheels... Don't wanna lose the classy luxury looks...
I think you can take the bolts out on the camber plate on the top hat, and re position them for more camber
Nice!!😍
Start looking for the full manual top convention it comes on 318i best thing I did on my vert.
Maxx speeding!!! 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
Have maxpeeding T6 coilovers on my civic. Handle bumps much better than my stock shocks.
That shit harrddddd, now i want an e36 cab 😂
BRO I HAVE THE SAME CAR BUT AS A COUPE HARDTOP AND I LOVE IT BRO NICE WHEELS MAN JDM WHEELS ON GERMANS WHIPS ARE A FLEX
Damn bro now i need to cop a set of rims for my e36 vert, been chillin on stocks too long
That looks baller af
sorry if i missed it i got excited and skipped to the end but what are those specs i had 18s before now they had some meats but i rubbed and poked like a mother, looks so classy i might runs 18s on the vert again lol
Bmw loctites them and it says to, I would put blue. I had the upper nut and bolt come loose on me. I just impact them and leave it tho so
that is a really dope video just like you said lmao
The the 2 collars out!
Prob get a Vert now
Came Out pretty Good!!! i love it!!!i have e36 convertible also ..my wife wanna sell it .should i sell it?
Nah never sell
ok u rite. them rims are nice.!!!
Planning on doing coil overs on my 99 vert soon, would these work?
If you want you can lower it more by removing the collars in the front and then you can add more camber by removing the two Allen’s onto the other holes that are in the top hat, that’s what I did with my maxpeeding rods
🔥🔥
Okay damn I ddnt think 18’s fit this good damn
M3 sway bar mount goes to the back of the car, i did the same thing but i don’t have the m3 sway bar lol
Cool vid. Your insane If you think fronts are easier
i'm personally a bigger fan of 17's on the e36 cause it gives you room for a meaty tire and they're just cheaper and easier to find same with tires for 17's but I also 100% agree that 18's fill the wheel well of e36's way better
Nice
That’s looking amazing! Did you name it yet ?
Yes I did come up with a name. I'll mention it later 😉
Verts are the sexiest e36s I swear
From beater to heater 😮💨
shit looks so good
I believe those rear billsteins are the rear b8 edition
How does the convertible ride with these ? Looking to get a set for my vert but don’t want an unbearable ride. I only drive it 2-3000 miles a year, which is why I’m considering getting these.
Wondering the same. About to order them for my 98 323i vert
Black on my 97 328iC Vert Identical Exterior Color and Top to yours but tan seats and Automatic, I have bad Drivers seat gear for reclining, What is my best Option here in North Florida? I dont really have to covered garage to work in and my tools are limited
I had that issue a long time ago. There's a tiny plastic gear that breaks in the seat. I took it apart on a bored day and readjusted the seat and put the gear back and never moved the seat again lol
Bro use some draino for that puddle in the back hatch, theres a drain plug that gets clogged under the frame and even a wire hanger couldnt help me. Drano my boy thats what helped me
Damnn she looking dope af 🔥
Why do I suddenly need a vert 😂
Looks hard but isn't the spring adjuster in the rear supposed to be on the top? I put solowerks on mine and the install instructions said to put it on to otherwise you can't adjust it without removing the whole spring
I don't think it matters. My Broadway's mount on the bottom with a nut and bolt connected to the bucket. I guess if it's on top it's easier to adjust it without pulling the spring back out
@@itsBlack awesome, thanks for providing that info. Good work on the car, I'm working on my e36 vert too. Check out my CZcams and insta... I'll look to your build for inspiration :)
Thats what i was thinking. Cant adjust with it on the bottom
I miss the old E36 with the bronze wheels 😢
Looking good dude, what's the ride like on these new style maxspeedingrods? My old ones were super bouncy on the rear, ended up putting stock M-Sport shocks on the rear with the MaxSpeeding springs, was perfect then.
Quick note on those conversion spacers you've got though, noticed they're not hubcentric, there's no centre protrusion for the wheels to sit on so your wheel studs are taking all the sheer force there, not ideal.
If you can, get some slightly more expensive ones with the hubcentric centre for sure 👍
I used to think the hub protrusion was structural too. Then someone did the math on the clamp load applied by the bolts vs the shear load needed to move the wheel. The shear load would be waayyyyyyy more than the car will ever see. It's only a centering feature. I agree, having them is ideal, but not for the same reason. The taper on the bolts and lug nuts is sufficient for centering the wheel.
See Garageaholic's youtube page and search "Clipz Motorsports". He shows all the calculations.
@@DadBodGarage Interesting, thanks for the reply, I'll have a read around.
Last time I looked into it the consensus was different but I guess things move on, I'll go and read around again 👍
@@delmcgeorge6293 Yessir. it still prompted me to ask one of the engineers at work that retired from GM ride quality division what the purpose of the hub ring was. He told me it was purely for centering the wheel during assembly. I had instructors tell me, while I was in school for High Performance Motorsports Technology, that the hub ring was for shear forces but never provided any information passed that. I believe the math now.
@@DadBodGarage having had a read around of a few articles I'm a bit on the fence. There's definitely some articles (written by engineers), with examples, that show lug centric can fail where hub centric wouldn't.
I think in 90% of use cases most people would be fine, but when hitting a big pothole or some other decent impact I'd feel happier with hub centric.
I'd also throw in that if you're solely depending on a lug centric design you want those studs/bolts to be good quality. Cheap spacers arguably may not have the best quality stud material...
Throw in most quality brand spacers are hub centric as well. I'll stick to hub centric.
But has definitely been interesting to read around on, thank you 👍
@@delmcgeorge6293 I’d still definitely suggest garageaholics video. It provides a bit of insight!
Let me get them SSRs the 5/114 community needs them
That Shit is sooooo damn clean bro!!! 🥵🥵🥵
Damn what a makeover the coils and wheels did - Sheesh !! I may get roasted for this BUT - Is there anybody out there that can give me like a simple but decent explanation on Offsets - Because Black obviously has the science down to a T lol - Just a 'Offset for Dummiez' if you will lol
My understanding is that Offset is the measurement of the distance of the wheel face that meets the hub from the wheel's center. The center of the wheel is 0 offset. Most wheels have the center closer to the outer rim rather than the inner which is positive offset. When the wheel's center face is closer to the inner rim, then it's negative offset.
The less offset you have, the further out the wheel will sit.
The more offset you have, the closer the wheel will be to the car.
If you have a 17x9 wheel with +35mm offset, then go to a 17x9 +15mm, your wheel will stick out 20mm more since the face is now 20mm closer to the inside rim, pushing the outer rim away.
Keep that color
Yeah...she lookin spiffy
Bro you must connect the sway bar to suspension, you wont believe how much it improves handling
Sway bar is connected but to the control arm. Only M3 is connected to the shock
@@itsBlack yea so connect it to shock
I can never, I mean ever, remember which way to turn coilovers.
8:56 I used blue or orange loctite. Red is for scary folk
Get aero kit
Looks good, now drive it like a normal car for 10 minutes without anything breaking. Including your back :D
Buy my hardtop!!
Yo put the wheel/specs in the info !!!!
15:28
my guy.... you really installing coilovers and wheels in a car with stagnant water in the backseat??? BRUH get a shopvac!
That’s what I just saw and no one’s talking bout it 🤣
20:19 no that’s not the reason why. They just suck. If anyone wants a unbiased review with these specific coilover model check out “ImJoel” CZcams channel on these.. I wouldn’t throw these on for free on any of my cars. Rather spend $300 bucks more for some Tein or something. Also don’t follow this “how to” you shouldn’t max out the coilover like that, to its last threads. It’s not safe. But hey these stance fan boys will do anything to have thier frame & oil pan scraping everywhere they go with the fender/bumper mounting point all broken.. doesn’t even matter if the car is running or not.. or parked with a blown engine.. “ StaNcE iS LifE “
Would I run their Forged rods on a turbo m5x engine? Yes. That’s a part were they actually took time to make it legit.. theirs prove out there that they hold power
Nigga stfu! No one asked you for your option. Sheesh man. Let us enjoy how clean his E36 looks
