  • A 30-minute drive northwest of Tampa on Florida’s Gulf Coast is the city of Dunedin. This is one of the few open waterfront communities from Sarasota to Cedar Key where high-rise hotels and condo buildings don’t obstruct the view. Settled in the mid-1800s, Dunedin is one of the oldest towns in this part of the state.
    Today, we’re going to show you what to do in this funky small town with lots of heart, from where to find the best homemade lemonade and gourmet popcorn to a museum dedicated to the Fab Four and the best photo op in town, especially if you’re an animal lover. All of that and much more from Dunedin, Florida.

    We checked out at least 10 locations in Florida, we loved Dunedin, we built a winter home there. Great decision

    The causeway drive out to Honeymoon Island has always been a favorite for me.

    Two state parks. Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island which is not accessible by road (ferry, kayak, boat etc). Dunedin has so many parks. Even living here, I’m not sure how many.

    Your videos are very well done and so informative. I feel like I'm watching a Travel Channel show. Thanks for your hard work on these.

    I love Dunedin and I love the Pinnellas Trail but I think it could have been used a little bit better if it was turned into a commuter train track... just think about all of the people who would use it... from St. Pete all the way up to Tarpon Springs... and then they could have expanded it, to connect with other tracks just like they did with the Trail.

      I’m glad they didn’t do that. America is fat enough. We need bike trails to get some exercise.

      @@NurseSue425 It actually used to be a train track...I don't know if it was a commuter train or a freight train but I would think that a commuter train would have been an amazing idea...I think the Trail is awesome but I think that having a train running from Tarpon all the way to St. Pete would've been even better for both residents and visitors alike.

    Great pictures. As retired people we would like to know about cost of living. Amenities like grocery. Markets health care. Beach access. Cost of housing. Compare houses to condos.

      $350-$400K single family homes, small and older. If retired there may be a couple 55+ condos close to the water.

    You are by far the best Florida vlogger I've come across. Not that I have anything against Disney, but others should take a leaf out of your book and have a look at the real Florida. Can't wait to get back over there. Keep the videos coming. If you ever fancy a nice easy Saturday (once it re-opens due to Covid) I'd recommend a trip to Mill creek farm. It will cost you 2 carrots to get in! It's a worthy cause and chilled day. ( millcreekfarm.org/ )

      Thank you for those kind words! My wife Abby has been wanting to visit Mill Creek for over a year and a half. She’s read a lot of good things about the retirement home for horses. Fingers crossed a visit will happen later this year!

    I thought the Fenway was a college ?

    • @ChadGallivanter
      @ChadGallivanter  Před 2 lety +1

      Between 1961 and 1988, the Fenway building served as a college. It also belonged to the Taoist Tai Chi Society for a time. Marriott renovated the building and added it to its Autograph Collection of hotels a few years ago.
