- Pitstops in Assetto Corsa Competizione aren't very obvious, and with this video I try to shed some light on it! In this video We're talking about Pit strategies, mandatory and voluntary pitstops and everything around it.

What annoys me about pit stops, in an AI race, is my car has to be moved the box if I'm not perfect in the box. The AI can park at 45* and get put in the box immediately without penalty. I always lose 5-7 seconds during an AI race to this. Hopefully, they fix this issue.
That's very annoying indeed
Imho it's not the game's fault, you need to practice that part, its one of the things that you can try to perfect and I tell you it feels so satisfying when you jump the AI at the pits, and you will always jump them when you get the pitstop right because AI turns off the ignition+starter so it makes them slower off the line after the pitstop. Some players also turns their engine off way before stopping at the board which I have no idea how its done but yeah not only the driving has a learning curve but also doing pitstops.
This absolutely annoys me too. I would be neck and neck with an AI and they get a three second lead on me purely because the AI don't have to line up anything. I really hope they do fix this,...
Still they didnt fix that. Im at 1st and after pit im 5... AI has perfect pit ALWAYS . That made me to quit carrer mode
A good trick...switch to bonnet cam..much easier to see where to stop
Been a while since we've had an instalment in this series, always fun to see these episodes and great advice of course!
Best way to practice your pit stops on tracks is the hot lap option it starts you a turn from the pits and you can restart after each attempt
That music is so catchy man. Nice video as always. Thought I'd let you know that I did some racing yesterday and after that got it together I managed a 208 on Monza ok a gt4 car. Out of 7 laps only 3 were invalid. Again #BabySteps
Good to hear that! and 208 isn't bad at all with a GT4, sometimes I fail to do that with a GT3 car!
Thanks man I appreciate that. It was actually pretty fun. Might go at it again later. One of the things I'm trying not to do is over do it and not let myself get so angry when things go wrong. I pay attention to the good things and anything I do wrong I make a mental note of what it was and I make it a point to correct it.
🤣I was disqualified for not making appittstop even I come 1st lol🤣 I was just playing ACC on XboxseriesX aminute ago and have no clue about this type of rules pittstop. My first time on sim race world 🤣. Thank you for your video now iknow🤣👍.
So close to 5k!!
Heck yeah!
Something that is off topic can you save your session in carrier mode or not? Because every time you quit the race you have to do practice, qually 1and 2, race 1and 2 from the begining at its very annoying.
How about them involuntary Pit Stops? Great video. Thanks.
0:21 what a punch. My face hurts a little...
About ten minutes before the end of each race, my car stops in the middle of the road. Why?
Perfect pitstop 🤣🤣
It's my first time playing ACC. I was 12th before the pit cycle. After it, I was 20th. Cars that entered the pit box like 5 seconds after me were able to finish their pit stop before me and thus passed me. Any ideas why my stop was so slow? It was a championship race and I did not change any of the default pit settings. After my tires had been changed it felt like I sat in the box another 10 seconds for no apparent reason before the controller unlocked. Thanks.
Sometimes the car doesn't automatically start right away, it helps if you bind a button to the 'start engine' button to get going quicker. Its also possible that you had some damage that needed repairing which the other might not have had
Ive got the same.. you to by the way in youre video.. youre 10th and last when you exit.. locked controles for 1.17 and the rest passes you???
@@PowerQ Definitely gonna try that, and I didn't consider the damage (I assumed there'd be some kind of animation for them repairing damage).
Man it riled me up. I'm new to this game and really suck at it, but I'd been able to by some miracle work my way up to 4th in the first half of the race, but it was tight when me and like 5 or 6 other cars all came into pit at the same time. And during that pit I watched myself go from that hard fought for 4th position all the way to 16th... dead last. I still don't even understand how I was in 16th (maybe other cars that passed while I was in the box still had to pit and would do so on the next lap?) but in my frustration I fucked up a turn, started spinning and totaled the car.
Hard not to get super pissed when I'm watching them peel off and I'm sitting there waiting for the engine to start, only to then let that anger get the better of me and cause me to crash. I swear it had been my best run so far haha
I guess that's racing though.
One thing for people who've been playing AC for longer - does the AI ever screw up and crash? In a game aiming for realism I would expect the AI to behave like real drivers and sometimes screw up big time. I haven't noticed it happen yet though.
If it is somethint that can happen, it would make me a lot less inclined to just restart the race whenever I screw up. Feeling like the AI doesn't ever make mistakes (and that you have to beat them on pace alone) kinda breaks the immersion for me, and I'd prefer if I was more willing to just take the L when I spin off the track or try and work my way back up, hoping for thr AI to make some mistakes or hoping for a multi car crash between them. But as it is if a spin-off causes me to fall far behind, it feels like there's no point in continuing because the bots are so predictably consistent.
@@SquareNoggin Yes AI's do crash and yes they do make mistakes
Newbie tip: The default 65 litres of fuel will only get you to your first pitstop (or the chequered flag in a spirit race) of you happen to be competing in a Nissan Leaf. I tend to start with 90 litres (sometimes 95) to be on the safe side.
In my first race i started with the default 65 litres,
and when there were 5 laps to go, i ran out of fuel
Well it depends on how long the race which lead to how many number of laps. The optimal point is liter per lap * number of laps. For example, each lap take 4L and you race 20 laps, you need at least 80 L plus some extra.
Where exactly do you need to slow down in the pit lane? I do it before the sign but I think that’s why I’m getting a DSQ, yet the AI cars pass me while coming in? I’m in career mode and just starting out.
You need to slow down before the line, and don't exceed the pit speed limit when you're in there
@@PowerQ All tracks have 2 lines just before the pit entrance, the sign for the pit entrance is just beside these lines usually. You have to be under or within the pit speed after the 2nd line. Gets me a lot! Watch for the lines.
How is the refueling managed? I am confused. In one race I need 0.3 seconds for 1 L refueling (or something like this) in another race it takes 25 Seconds. Doesn't matter how much fuel I put in the car...
Haven't come across this problem yet, so i don't know what causes that
no, there is no any sign or something else. Game just asks me to pit to repair, but nobody waits for me and i'm don't know where to go and what to do. I feels like I'm abandoned
after pit stop while i’m going back on track i get this message ‘’ no time gained ‘’
WHYYYY???
This series is outstanding!
ACC is my go to sim and my progress is based on this series.
I'm new so I've been setting up my pit stops in advance.
I haven't done it yet and it seems like it would be difficult to set it up on the fly while you are driving.
Is there an advantage to doing that - ?
Glad you enjoy it! And I'm sure you're putting in all the effort that's needed to progress in ACC
In career mode my stops are just so much longer than AI, driver swap and tyres required with no fuel and no damage, my pit stop is over 30s long. No brake changes or anything special but I put from 1st place and come out in 10th
when I go into the pit box nothing happens
Changed up to second whilst entering the pit lane...pit limiter only works in 1st gear. Whoopsy, that was a 30 stop n go could have done without!
Yup gotta watch out for that
omg thank you so much, just started out and using the Lamborghini what do you think of it, any tips?
The Lambo is a tricky car in my opinion, but if you like it, drive the hell out of it!
@@PowerQ I will don't worry about it!
When i finish a carrer in carrer mode they SDQ me you now why? Its an error in the game?
Maybe you're driving too fast in the pits and you don't serve the penalty for it
Hi!
Hello there
you made this one for me ? :)
Partly ;) got a lot of questions about the pits
Ruby, My Dear with a hip hop beat? nope.
I have wasted enough races on ACC pit stops.
Bro your car spare parts is made in taiwan not in italy😂 sorry to say
I absolutely love how the AI completely cheats when the pit, frame perfect stops in everyway. You can be up 10 seconds and all of the sudden every AI has caught up after the mandatory pit. 🥲
