It took me forever to get a tag for my cart/LSV. The city came up with these grand enforcement plans, but did not notify the DMV. The Clarcona/Ocoee office only has 1 person that does golf cart/lsv conversions. She can do about 5 a day, and is currently 2700 behind.

As long as the State of Florida allows motorcycle operators to do so without helmets, any discussion of "safety" in ANY vehicle is simply hypocritical.

The biggest issue with making the ‘illegal’ LSVs legal isn’t the equipment, but instead is the paperwork required. If people purchased private party, they likely don’t have a proper bill of sale which is required for the VIN. The builder paperwork hasn’t been updated for carts and many of the street legal req’d parts can be purchased 2nd hand - there needs to be an easier path for these folks to get a VIN/title that isn’t so cumbersome with requiring original bills of sale and so many receipts to accompany the upgrades that DIY’ers are eager to take on.

This commissioner seems bias on the golf cart. I agree it's very difficult to get it registered as lsv
