Popping corks shouldn’t be considered googan technology. They’re such a smart design, and they work great for trout and reds. No one should be ashamed of throwing a popping cork

Its a big thing in Hawaii but we call it whipping and no shame of what so ever when the bait ain't working start whipping 💯🎣🤙🏼
I remember long ago the only options we had were the Almeda plastic floats they were the go to option for trout, the Mansfield mailer fished with a soft plastic, and lastly the Cajun thunder foam float, which I think started all the various options we have available today. With this being said, I never felt these options were for the newbies for me it just adds to your ability to put some fish in the box! I had many days when you to grind it out and the more techniques you know the better.
You're one of my faves because of the gentle approach you take to teaching people how to care for fish.

Tore up reds in Marty marsh several years ago. Had a devil eye under a Mansfield mauler type popper. They simulate jumping bait in addition to controlling depth. Absolutely love them.

I started using popping corks quite a bit this year in the marshes. Awesome for reds and trout. Do you prefer a specific popping cork? I’ve been using the Phillips tackle woodie corks recently and love them. Awesome video man!
