I like to build a shack over mines. Then at night when I'm not running around topside I'm underground mining. If the mines are close enough I link them with tunnels and sometimes run a tunnel from them to my base and seal up the shacks.
Glock, you dont need a full set of armor to unlock a perk, each piece has a bonus, like the precher gloves with 10% dmg.
If you complete a set though, them you gain a extra perk
Also good to be mentioned that wearing complete sets is almost never necessary and is as far as we have seen not as good as mix and matching to get the specific bonuses for your specific build.

Have the electric fence posts on the other side of the cobblestone wall - the wires go through blocks. Protect the posts behind the walls so They last longer.

Starting the day at 4 20am is perfect because I usually smoke a bowl before watching 😂
I built a base like that before, but I made more corridors than you plan on making, and I made entrances on both sides and both hallways lead to the middle, like a spiral, which had a staircase to the second level for them to go up and then I had another hall but with bars so I could shoot through, I think one problem you might come across is they won’t want to go through your hall, and they will just try to beat through the walls to get straight to you.
I would honestly put the electrical fence posts behind the wall to protect them from being damaged. Especially later on when cops start showing up. One cop explosion could completely knock out that line of defense.

One idea, if you do them one higher, you might be able to put the blade traps upside down on the ceiling hitting the zombie's heads
Talking about checking POIs secret stashes on ep 1 the first quest you did it had an ammo stash on the hole near the mailbox, also you might want to save the armor and weapon parts, as you need them for crafting higher quality ones
Might I suggest you check your advanced challenges? Oh and may I ask you to maybe run a cornmeal counter, just so I get a sense of how much food waste you'll cause during the coming apocalypse. Keep being awsome!

Your opening in your horde base needs to move 1 or 2 more away from the corner if you plan on putting in electric fences and want to keep them out of the way of damage.

What is everyone's favorite piece of armor? I like the preacher gloves. Doing 60% more damage against undead is pretty insane since they buffed the health of most if not all of the zombies.
I expect TFP to nerf that before release. I sure hope they do. That's an absolutely insanely broken buff.
@knurlgnar24 it sounds broken, but they also buffed zombie health. Most endgame zombs have double health.

The 'broken' part is that it is by far the best buff any single piece of armor gives you - so much so that there is no point to ever not wear them. That means no one will ever use the other armor set bonuses or any of the other gloves. It's the college jacket insanity all over again. Yes, it's broken and needs to be fixed.

Some good work by the dev's but i wish they had put as much effort into more weapons, vehicles and craft stations as they have with armor. modders to the rescue again hopefully
I vote for a crawling base. dig out a lower level for you to stand and a sloped ceiling to push zeds into crawl position, this along with electrical would be so good.

You might need to dig a moat around the base - otherwise they'll just beat through the walls to get to you
He is leaving a doorway to funnel them into a death hall unless pathing has changed since it went 1.0.
The zombies will try and take the path of least resistance to get to the player. So if the route into the doorway and near Glock9 is easier, they'll do that. If beating through the outside walls are easier, they will try doing that instead. What my friends and I have found is you need to make the outside walls thicker (like 3 meter blocks) so the zombie AI doesn't see those outside walls as the easier path.

Base that size you need to dig a trench around it 2 wide and 3 deep to stop them from breaking through rather than go around

will you be protecting the electric fence posts with walls? otherwise the zombs will break them. The wires run fine through walls. But leave a way for you to repair them, since they take wear damage just from being used
