I've been watching boxing since I was 6 years old and I've seen literally thousands of fights new and old. I honestly think Katie Taylor's entrance to the ring here is one of the greatest ring walks in the history of boxing 💯
The slow walk, the music, the crowd, the small introduction talking about how she had to pretend she was a boy when she was young just so she could do what she loved...
And the constant look on Katie's face as if to say "So this is what it's like to stand on top of the mountain you helped build"

Her trainer and manager were like 2 kids in the ring when she was announced the winner, Ross Enamit nearly bounced out of the ring, they were funny but they have been on this journey for years with her
This is the best sport event I ever seen. Both ladies look un breakable and like goddesses. But katies entrance was like a movie scene. I was so epic that it seemed fake. The 2nd fight will not be as great. This is a 1 in a lifetime feeling. Boxing isnt about violence but peace and that is what they both showed. these girls have a beauty that no model can ever have.
Got emotional after watching their ring walks, they have gone through so much things to get there and finally they got their moment to shine ❤️

Man that walk and aura Katie had shown the definition of her struggles and sacrifices, but her eyes showed courage and love, I honestly cried and I never heard of her until today.
In 1991 the American army went to Kuwait to " liberate " them from the iraqi invasion. After the start of the American onslaught hundreds of iraqi soldiers fled and went AWOL, they took to the hills, and hid in caves. Some are still there to this day. Similar story to the Japanese After WW2, these soldiers that are still hiding out in the caves, with no electricity, no WiFi, no access to the outside world, they have heard of Katie Taylor. And up until today you haven't??

My heart goes to Amanda as i truly wanted her to win but i have to admit im also happy for Taylor as she seemed very humble in her expressions after the fight and truly excludes class and love for the sport. I congragulate both woman.
I have watched a lot of boxing in my life I’ve never heard a crowd like that
I've watch boxing my whole life, had 46 amateur and 1 pro fight. This night was amazing. The 50/50 Irish and Puerto Rican crowd. The pageantry, the electric vibe of the crowd. You could feel the excitement building as the fight drew closer. As they played the anthems I got chills. It seemed like even the singers were aware of the spectacle and were on their game.
The fight is right up there with other classic wars, George Foreman vs Ron Lyle, Bobby Chacon vs Cornelius Boza Edward's, Arturo Gatti vs Mickey Ward.
Both fighters were determined not to let the fans down after all the hype.
And the cherry on top at the end? How gracious both women were in victory and defeat. Even the corners were so gracious to each other. So much excitement. So much action and in the end, so much class. All the participants knew this night was bigger than all of them.
I will remember this night for a long time. The only negative for me was I miss my dad on nights like this. He passed away 14 years ago and watching fights has never been the same since. We would've really enjoyed watching this together.
So true. Can't remember ever hearing a full capacity crowd of boxing fan cheering every other second at the top of their lungs. It was eerily shocking, like I couldn't believe this fight & these fighters had gotten that popular

They were told off by the commission since promoters can’t bet on their own fights. Eddie says they’re coming up with something else though. Sounds like possibly a charity fight.

Amanda Serrano is Manny Pacquiao in Womens Division, but for me in this fight that is completely dominated by taylor. Katie Taylor punching style and head movement is like juan manuel marquez, since katie is an Orthodox, and serrano is slight slugger southpaw fighter like manny pacquiao in this fight.
I hope the rematch is in lreland - imagine Croke Park 82,000 attendance.

I had Katie winning first three and last three. What a fight though, Katie was clearly hurt in round five and to end the last three rounds as strong as she did is testament to how great she really is. The Americans called her the greatest female fighter of all time after the fight, I don't disagree with that.

Yep and I would won 50 quid for a serano ko or tko... if it was 3 minutes rounds I think she would have got it done.
Doubt it. Katie was recovering by the end of the round. That was the best serano could do and it wasn't enough to take her down. If there were 3 minute rounds Katie would win hands down, she has far superior endurance and stamina.
I felt that way also. Katie packs such a powerful punch. Serrano was great but I could see that she was going to get tired. Katie got a second wind.

Life time boxing fan and extremely proud Irish man here I just wanted to thank Amanda and katie for one of the most enjoyable fight nights ever. Obviously a Katie fan but now a massive fan of amanda katie said Amanda was a great person and I agree but katie is a beautiful person herself. They have ensured the future of boxing for women. Once in a life time experience for them both and they deserve it. Absolutely fantastic crowd on both sides. Would be brilliant to do it again in Croke Park. Could see it being a trilogy as was definitely close. Katie is a wonderful representative of our country but I have enormous respect for Amanda Serrano too, it takes true grit and determination to fight with that intensity, something I never had. Does anyone notice how beautiful Katie voice is. Before she walked out and they were playing clips of her past event with her voice, it sound so emotional and peaceful. They both make boxing about peace and not violence. Ronda Rousey could never be a champion like them because everything about Ronda was so aggressive with anger, hate, and rage. Every time she walked out she had the dumb look. Katie walks out and you can feel and see her soul! She seems so intelligent and strong. You can tell in her eyes that she was walking in the ring willing to die!

Anybody claiming Amanda won must have been watching the fight with their ears. Amanda was gassing from Rd 7 and Katie’s boxing ability shone through to the final bell as she landed the cleaner punches. There’s a lot of delusional experts on here😅

Some of the early rounds could've gone either way. That would've swung the fight and it would've been a close decision the other way. And I would've had no complaints.
The fight turned in the 6th round when Amanda backed off the throttle a bit. She may have been gassed from the round before or maybe it was a strategic decision. But Katy took the momentum in that round and never gave it back.
For all their skill, it was their heart that made this fight so epic. Katy practically had to crawl out of her grave to continue and Amanda refused to yield until the final bell.
