MDRT is nothing but a carrot in front of a donkey. Different private insurance organisations utilise the agents for selling their policies showing the dream of MDRT. After being MDRT you will attend some felicitation program which will be organised by the company, nothing more than this. For international meet or global meet you have to pay charges of approx 2000 usd from your pocket and also you have to make your visa of your own, the insurance company will only give you information regarding the meet. Being a MDRT I didn't participate in any meetings and the company didn't ask me for what reason did I fail to participate in MDRT meet? Do you know that the lowest numbers of MDRT qualify from India out of all Asian countries which is less than 1%. For such a poor figure from India, insurance policy and the companies are responsible. Firstly you rectify the system then only motivate agents to be a MDRT.
