HALLELUJA! The trap improvements will really allow my blind teammates to off themselves in even more creative ways now. Crytek's got our backs 🤠✌
Can not wait for the dynamic trio to explore new ways to sabotage their own team
If they are so unaware they deserve it
CryTek got our teammate fronts, since they are blind anyway it doesnt matter😅
Will make great content
New Hyde's farts compilation when? :P
That bullet drop is insane
I already see it, this will ruin the game completely
agreed WAY over done
Too much
@@Albin0BlackSheep112Heavily doubt it’ll “ruin” the game, but they should definitely look into fixing the bullet drop because yeah that is definitely ridiculous
it would require more skill but at the same time will give noobs unpredictability advantage. Pros and competitive players always ruins online games look at the mod The Specialists.
The new Audiodesign is AMAZING, actually having the Bulletcrack be heard before the actual Shot just sound SO GOOD.
Most Games dont even give this Kind of Detail a minor Thought but Crytek is cooking HOT ✌️💚
@ChoiiXMasters Indeed!
Excited to see this
@@scottsmith2141 the question is if we could still not sense if our enemy upstairs or downstairs
@touristhawk idk
Directional audio is really hard to pull off when you consider elements like high above or below.
Because we as humans achieve this primarily by tilting our heads slightly I don't see hunt introducing that.
It's tough.
I don't really have a solution for them.
Open to suggestions of course.
All that said, they've truly done an outstanding job on the audio and it seems they keep aiming higher (just like our long Ammo users will be in August lmao)
So if youre down and you dont hear a shot, it was a headshot from far^^
@Himbeer-Toni Hehehe
Of ya don't hear the shot it wasn't meant for you.
I remember a buddy if mine saying that. It's accurate in many ways lmao
That bullet drop is simply ridiculous!
Agreed!
its quite realistic, i like it, i just wished there was a way to tell the distance in the scope, like a 2m person has 20 lines in the scope on 100m
@@Fixnown Is a drop of 1-2 meters at a distance of 245 meters realistic? lol
@@A_P___ yes it is, just calculate 1/2 a *t^2 = s and get the time via velocity, I used 400m/s

The sound delay at distance and overall improvements... It feels awesome!!!
It's just so good to see man lol
It seems like it will greatly improve the ability to tell where you are beeing shot from at distances.

Come august we'll be fighting with slingshots XD
Agreed, way too mich
Airsoft guns now
Come August we won't be playing at all if they add bullet drop
Holy cow this bulletdrop is HUGE. Why so much??
I don't like it.
They don't understand the real work bullet drop.
So don't expect good implementation
@@scottsmith2141 I know it's not realistic game, but cmon :D
Cause Europeans don’t know guns
@@Richter5 Harder to shoot your mutant pigeons with it.
Duuuude that bullet drop. I'm afraid that with the iron sight you won't be able to see the player while aiming higher.
I think if they added even a make-shift zeroing system, it’d be better for Iron Sight guns. I’m too worried without it, you’re just going to have to guess where your target is moving behind the gun model.
@@razorthewolf18Nothing about a zeroing system sounds fun though, it just doesn't fit hunts gameplay IMO. Yea it would be a good fix, but then what is even the point of adding drop, to slow down combat and gamble that they are at exactly 200 meters or something?
every change mentioned in all the dev vids is so good, but the bulllet drop hurts

Can't wait to retrain my hearing. We now get the Sopranos experience:

I was thinking the same. The Krag looks like it shoots rocks
It is realistic though. Can't you calculate the bullet drop yourself? School physics suffice...
This bullet drop is way to huge@@Atomzertruemmerer
@@mAk0_hz Prove it by calculation.
@@Atomzertruemmerer Because walking ghouls in the Bayous created by a plague thrown in by a otherwordly entity is very realistic right? You may like the change, but don't try to make it sound like a good change by "prove that by calculations" when the game is not at all realistic. That bullet drop is WAY TOO MUCH for a game like Hunt, which is already pretty hard due to bullet velocity being a major part of the gunplay. That is a very huge change to how the game will play, and it is more likely to turn away players who already play the game then it is to atracted new ones. Very few people will look at this and say "Wow this bullet drop sure is amazing", but there will be plenty that will think "It's not as fun of a gunplay anymore".
And if you want proof, just look at this comment section. Most people here didn't like it.
Big fan of the trap and silence improvements.
I feel a little better about the headshot changes now that I see how drastic bullet drop is.
Not so much a fan of unlimited uses of ammo/kits. I like the concept of limited supplies across the server and it made for interesting tactical decisions.
Agreed
Seems hunt wants to get away from its original game play however.
Slow, tactical shooter with heavy hitting/fairly low rate of fire weapons.
Trade off for higher rate of fire would tend to be way less accuracy. This led players to make the tactical decisions of pushing up close and Dominating or hanging back and trying to pull off some good shots.
The limited resources on the map made this more interesting as high rate of fire/Ammo eating guns would need to be used more conservatively. Using it too soon would leave you out of luck for the next fight unless you went out of your way to resupply in some form or another (Perhaps taking the enemies weapons in some cases.)
But yeah
Hunt seems to be getting faster pace with each update.
I understand they want to make this game more appealing to newer players....but it's pushing players like myself (I've played since launch) away as I really enjoyed the slow tactical elements... many of which are disappearing.
Oh and we used to have unlimited headshots...they removed it.
I find it odd they want it back suddenly..... but if your introducing bullet drop I can understand.
Though I'm completely against the "bullet drop" being introduced as I used to work in the firearms industry and all I can say is.... no.... Hunt team... you really don't understand what your trying to implement at all. Just don't add it it's unsettling just how wrong it is.
(It is also borderline funny)
@@scottsmith2141 traps are getting way stronger which will slow the game and also makes it more tactical approachable but you dont lose a word about this
@@scottsmith2141The game can still be played slow and tactful. They have not removed that from the game nor have they taken away your ability to do so. Crytek has added ways to play the game but never removed a game style. it seems you and others take these additions/changes to the game very personal. I understand that you played since launch, a lot of us have. I just don't understand how we are getting so much next month as a Hunt community and all you can do is find what you think is game breaking when you haven't even played it yet. Were you the kid that complained about the size of your Christmas present before opening it?

@@kirkhuff1124 But sure, keep throwing your childish insults 🤣 wot a joke
i was up for bullet drop, but damn this seems more drastic than battle field
Good for nerfing long ammo
Yeah seems comically huge, like very very exaggerated
@@francescoluchena8302 you wont have 900 meter sightlines like you do in battlefield, most engagements will be 100 to 150, where the shown drop would be almost minimal on the mosin. they are showing extreme ranges no one realistically should fight at, and if you do it will take more skill to actually get hits, i honestly dont see the problem here. and before you claim realism, then why can we revive teammates who were headshot multiple times, how can we patch up multiple bullet wounds with a simple bandage etc. its game balancing over realism, if you want real guns with real bullet drop then go buy some
Good. Now you Snipers actually have to try for once
Its a skill curve for sure but games with bullet drop miss the point entirely and 99% of them always do it wrong.
I feel like different sights gave guns more distinct personalities but nothing but good changes here.
And yeah with a drop like that hitting someone at large distance who's even slightly moving is going to be much harder. Unlike warzone you can air strafe in hunt, hunters don't have momentum.
I agree with the former too but given the ballistics changes they're adding here, it only makes sense that they want to add a lot more standardization with the iron sights. Personally it's a bit disappointing since I hate the way videogames will butcher iron sight proportions to make them more playable. But it's just something we have to accept since these sights work great IRL but in a videogame where you only have one POV, many of them become abysmal.
Only problem I see here is it gives an advantage to aim boters.
@@sl9dge True but they always had it. Cuz' if they aimbot they cheat the dmg too, and also how much penetration they get. So some cheaters could should you across the map through a million concrete walls and 1 shot you on body shots.
@@RED_XLR Yeah but I've met regular aimbot cheaters and I liked being able to duel them from afar. Now with bullet drop this seems more complicated.
@@sl9dge why? If only aim bots will do predicted firing, but it is hard to predict if the target is moving
They need to add a marker when pinging traps. I mean it won't stop me from running into my teammates traps but at least at one point I knew what was being pinged.
Actually a good idea, perhaps a different sound or visual just to help friendly gameplay be more friendly
Everything is solid here but that bullet drop is going to be attrocious, thank god i run shotguns

Guns work more like that as they do without it.
@@C_Becker To me not having bullet drop is less Immersion breaking than a bullet dropping 1m at 250ft
@@mr_monologue2680 But that is a completely different topic.
@@C_Becker same principle, because of the crazy amount of bullet drop that is completely over the top at the ranges of a hunt map, it would be in my opinion more realistic and also immersion breaking to have 0 bullet drop.
@@mr_monologue2680 But gusn have bullet droo. So not having any is more absurd than none. I don't like it either. But to claim that guns don't work like that, is just not correct.
rest in peace, iron sight
Aye
Iron sights (with this drastic bullet drop... which don't even get me started as it makes no sense, lmao) will NOT be META in the slightest. Borderline useless given the changes. You see someone close its fine, sure.... but any meaningful distance away and you'll just shoot with best guess..... unless it's compact! Lmao
It's just silly.
Still viable for CQB enthusiasts
Bullet drop still seems like a terrible idea... But this video has a lot of good things
Worst idea, I’ve seen come out in this hunt showdown game
@@andrewchavez3029they shouldve added MORE bullet drop
I'm not a big fan of the bullet drop :(
The bullet drop seems excessive, but really excited about that new map sneak peek! Regardless, we'll see how it plays out in live servers :D
EDIT: for people in favor of excessive bullet drop and saying that snipers will have a harder time hitting shots: that's true, but this goes both ways. Snipers will be practically unbeatable by someone using iron sights due to the rifle physically covering up the enemy player model at those distances. Although what's shown in the video might not seem like that much with a scope, it's going to be very, very difficult to compensate for bullet drop when you can't even see what you're shooting at.
While this is indeed a nerf to their ability to hit headshots, snipers in general will likely be a lot harder to deal with. But I don't want to draw any conclusions before trying it out, so let's see how it goes!
yeah, bullet drop feels off
you get use to it, i don't see this bullet drop being bad
Breaking news: Snipers now have to actually engage in fights and not just sit halfway across the map killing people down a bar. Entire hunt community explodes
I like it this can help make the game less campy with snipers all the time
Sounds like skill issue :) For ppl who played arma or dayz, it will be a breath of fresh air xd
Not sure about the changes to resupplies, a good tactic to use was to wipe a resupply station of all supplies before an enemy team got there, rewarding your planning ahead because of them now being at a disadvantage coming into a fight.
Otherwise it all looks like good stuff
Agreed. Will incentivize trapping and map control tho.
@@LeMicronaut true, and will ensure more balanced fights at face value. I guess I'm just gunna miss that extra little level of preplanning
Why should the team that gets into a fight last be more rewarded than the the team that's been fighting the entire time? Scorched earth is a strategy but not very fun, especially not for new players
@@dino-t243 I'm thinking more 5-6 star lobbies, where in general players know that time is very valuable, and the quicker you are the quicker you're gunna get to the better position in the map (be that the boss lair, extract, resupply etc). The way I play at least is trying to read the movements of every player that I know of on the map, so if I hear a fight in laws on station and the boss is at Fort, I'm gunna be stripping any ressuplies in between them and waiting at sweet bell or the big tower in the river. That's if I don't judt push them to third party.
Denying resources to an enemy team is a very handy strat, doesn't just have to be for resupply stations, even just inside compounds. I'm more likely to top up one or two long ammo when I'm nearly full, if I know the guy I'm fighting is gunna try and do the same from the same box in a minute or two
@@dr_0ats yeah that must've felt nice. We also lose a bit of traxking knowledge in that now the fully open status of pickups probably won't show, meaning you can't guage if multiple people have passed through.
i dont mind about bullet drop but isnt it akward trying to aim at long range with ironsight, you cant see where the bullet land to adjust next shot unlike scoped guns..wish they also show long range shot with ironsight..guess hv to wait to see how this play out..
At the ranges you'll realistically be shooting with an iron sight rifle, it really won't be that much of a problem. If you try to shoot outside the range you're meant to, you'll struggle with any gun, bullet drop or not.
@@DamianJoseph661 yah..i guess now i have to struggle harder😂
It definitely seems to put more emphasis on a respective guns ideal range.
Using pistols at far ranges will be more difficult, but arguably makes sense - they are supposed to be for short ranges.
And "weaker" rifles will likewise be harder to use at greater distances.
Definitely an interesting change. I am curious to play it to see how it really feels.
Here is the thing: youre not supposed to do long range sniping with iron sights. Thats what you have scopes for. Thats their purpose
@@noobboon2579 here is the thing: have fun dealing with all those camping snipers that are ALREADY in the game, but now you have even less of a chance of counter play. no sane man would go for the actual objective of the game anymore cause you get rewarded with being a sitting duck in a house where the enemy team constantly aims at every exit you have and tries to wallbang you from a safe distance.

I hope that with the trap changes we get also some nerfs to concertina traps. Shooting them should destroy them, not trigger them, after all they are suppoused to be TRAPS that get you when you are off guard, not impenetrable barriers that you can place to make doors unenterable - if this doesn't change I don't see the point in placing them in cheeky spots over placing them in an obvious one to block it off.
Are we going to be able change the zero on our sights? I feel like aperture sights will be useless if you can't.
I'm really happy for the new traps placement system, the number of times me and my friend went crazy because we couldn't place one on the ground is phenomenal !!! 😩
The audio has always been excellent in Hunt. The new improvements make it better ❤
The sound effects at 0:00, 2:15 & 2:41 are so satisfying and well made. Props to whoever designed those menu sounds!
anyone else noticed the meters number on top of the ammo counter when they were showing off the standardized sights at 1:22?
I wonder what that means now that they're adding bullet drop, could it be sighted range?
Was that already in the shooting range?
Good catch! I think it either has to be an adjustable zeroing distance or the range at which your weapons bullet drop begins. But idk if they would put a static weapon stat in the main gameplay UI, so adjustable zeroing range is more likely. Let's hope that's what it is
@@johnnyb175 i don't think it's zeroing. IMO the way the ranges line up with the weapon being shown suggests bullet drop range. Also, it seems a little clunky to have zeroing options every 5 meters, esp since it would probably be one keybind to cycle through them (possibly a second to go backwards). Finally, they'd probably show off a new zeroing mechanic and the fancy new animations that would come with that system.
That bullet drop is not subtle at all, that will ruin rifles.
I think they were using explosive rounds as an example, hence the extreme drop. It is still more than I was expecting.
Ruin rifles in comparison to what? Everything else is also affected by drop, and rifles are affected the least.
@@blooperman1997it'll ruin rifles without scopes. It'll be literally impossible to hit at even medium distances without a scope, since you can't see where the opponent is to calculate the drop (with the rifle and sights blocking everything)
They just showed long ammo, hopefully the smaller ammo types are less affected, they did say that they will act differently, but idk how drastic of a change that is
@@the_apex_latino420 man I don't think you thought that one through enough xD smaller bullets having less dropoff? Are you sure? Dw happens to the best of us but it was funny
Bullets not only drop due to gravity but also deviate sideways. When factoring in weather conditions, the bullet should be affected both vertically and horizontally.

Could you please also add different outline colors for teammates?
The bullet drop was shown on very long ranges (over 150m). Hitting a shot at that range should be challenging. Sniping is going to be a lot more rewarding and skill based, and as a result more fun. Low-risk options in a game should be harder to use.

People trying to use long ammo iron sight rifles are probably gonna feel it worse than the camping snipers. I think scope glint would be a better way of doing what they want to do.
We literally have the shooting range as a distance calculator. You'll have to practice long range sniping and instinctually account for bullet drop.
It is a welcome addition, sniping was too easy. The game is more hardcore now.
Youre not supposed to be able to compete with snipers while using iron sights in long range battles.
You want long range, you must use scopes. Shorter range? Shorter sights.

If you want a free tip for how to make fall damage feel better: Jumping makes you take less fall damage. You didn't fall, you jumped off, therefore you stuck the landing, therefore less fall damage. That's how plays think anyways.
I love that new trap change...I would still appreciate being able to rotate the way I pull it open. (like with the ammo swap button) because sometimes I want the bulky end in the other direction without having to walk around and hten jump over it
The bullet sound travel time was always something I felt Hunt could benefit from, looks great. Also the trap creativity is an excellent change.
how does a game with mostly iron sights benefit from bullet drop? you have to aim above the enemy to a point where you dont even see them as your gun is in the way...

the next logical step, right? i've been saying it for a a long time that it will be a "rocky mountains" style map. thanks for the silence weapon sights adjustment. thr current one isntmy favorite 😅
All the Bush Wookies mad about the bullet drop lol
The iron sights change reveal should really have come at the same time as the bullet drop reveal. I was genuinely concerned bullet drop would basically destroy the game with how bad the iron sights on some weapons are if bullet drop was added in with no other changes. Quite a few weapons right now have very shallow and thick sights, so they would have been nearly impossible to use outside of short ranges with bullet drop. Making many of the sights taller and thinner will go a long way to increasing the range of usability of the weapons.
1:42 Looks like players won't be able to see their bullet travel unless using incendiary ammo? How are players expected to adjust their aim with bullet drop without feedback? Of course CZcams's video compression could have disappeared the bullet, but I'm not even seeing a shadow of compression artifacts where it might be.
Traps look fantastic. I really love the attention to detail with the sounds. But that bullet drop is way too extreme for the mosin at that distance. That bullet is going too fast to dip that soon.
I think there might be a zeroing feature included with rifles. That'll make handling the drop a lot easier.
Yeah
i too love femboys nohomo
Good, you understand basic physics, they showed an extreme just for the bit, but rest assured they'll figure it out, most devs don't and think hehe bullet drops after 100 meters haha :3
You're right!
They have shown zero understanding of actual bullet drop/physics.
The Hunt team has had an interesting relationship with gravity over the year and it seems that battle of understanding is one they're losing to this day
All these changes are going to fundamentally change the nature of the game. Until we try it, I don't know if some of it will be good or bad. However, can I just say I applaud the Hunt team for having the guts to make such radical changes. It can't have been an easy decision to mess with the core gameplay so dramatically, so I really hope it works out.
I'm pretty optimistic and the developer updates are being very well managed.
Audio design in this game is GOD tier

Now increase the min height for fall damage.
There's no way any human being takes damage from a 5 foot drop, that's stupid af.
It's likely a balancing decision to make traversing larger stretches of verticality at once more punishing.
Seeing as vertical space can be traversed far quicker via falling than any other form of movement in the game, it makes sense imo.
one kingdom for a metric system
That bullet drop is obscene. Change it back immediately
Literally
no

Worst idea yet bullet drop is trash
Nah just tweak it, bullet drop should be noticable
I'm really looking forward to all these new changes!
Will you consider height over bore when implementing bullet drop, though? Because I would really like the game to feel even more realistic and rewarding, if you could customize the scopes with a viewfinder (spyglass?) and feel the barrel being lower than the ironsight/scope.
Any chance we will be getting improvements to the vertical audio to make determining whether an enemy is above, below, or on the same level as you feel better?
Not sure about bullet drop, seems way too much
Yo i'm not excited for the excessive bullet drop
These are some AMAZING changes, LOVE them! 🎉
Looking forward to trying them out ^-^
Thank you so much 🙌
ALL the best :)
Guys, hats down. Challenges look phenomenal in there compared to what we have now. Also, more exciting about them as you get 10 per one completed. They're just awesome, good job with that, it can be seen you wanted to make them better and finally, you reached that goal. Congrats!
Glad someone is thinking in the dev studio. The change to irons for silenced weapons is big with the introduction of the bullet drop. The bullet drop now openes a way for new weapon variants also... while without the bulletdrop a silenced sparks with a scope would be just blatantly op, now the the drop it could in theory be added because of the skill requirement to even land a shot.
Don't feel the best about the bullet drop. It's a drastic change which I feel will get in the way of me selling my friends on hunt showdown, that being that unlike most extraction shooters it's hard but approachable. As in, someone can pick it up and learn fairly well and follow the learning curve smoothly. Bullet drop I feel gets a bit on the way of that, especially considering that unlike most other shooters where bullet drop is a thing, players have little way to accurately gauge distance outside of "its more or less this-". Scopes don't have any aids for lining up a shot either, like modern scopes do, so I feel like this is a bit of an unnecessary change.
If your argument for it is realism, then it also fails in that regard. Bullet drop at the level that we see in the video does not happen at the ranges that 90% of the gunfights in Hunt happen in.
I dont mind bullet drop. but I do mind the fact there's no mil dops/gauge marks in the scopes. I need SOMETHING to have an understanding on where i need to place my cross hairs and train my judgement. I'm happy we have a shooting range so I can spend my actual days in it learning the bullet drop.
@@ZexMaxwell i am very unhappy with the fact that i need to allign already a VERY slow bullet speed with quite drastic bullet drop. i really liked hunt as an alternative to other games there your tracking skill is vertical and on the distance to a game there it is purely about enemy momentum
It’s a challenge that will be satisfying. Just like how we arc shots with the bows. Crazy long headshots shouldn’t happen very often. Headshots shouldn’t be easy. Especially with these guns.
@@shoff29 the bows are justified, because it is a niche weapons with a niche mechanics considering the general hunt gameplay, that reward good players who know how, and want to use it to their advantage. also it's more of a close to mid range weapon.
i DONT WANT to feel like every gun is a bow. guns. shoot. straight.
Period. why is it so controversial to leave at least one game there it's a thing?
dammit. hunt, my beloved, why be so cruel to me? i don't want to leave my favorite PVP game, but it seems i have to touch grass now
@@user-lk4ge3ns2g they shouldn’t feel like a bow. But every weapon has a curve. Nobody should get headshot by a pistol at 125 meters.
Effective range should matter. Pistols should only really be effective within 50 meters.
This also gives more benefit to high velocity rounds. And long ammo. As the long range option. Which it should be.
Reducing the distance that we get sniped in the head is a good thing for the game. And if it happens now, it’ll be very impressive and slightly lucky. But less frequent.
For now, guys, this is my favorite video from you, Crytek !!! Those changements are so insane !!! The game will be better than ever !!!
NO MY THICK CENTENNIAL SIGHTS 😭😭
DAMMIT. That was the main reason I used that gun, those sights are so much easier for me to use than the thin Winfield sights AUUUUGGGHHH
bullet drop in hunt is a horrible idea
im most excited about vulture... its no longer required one person in a trio take it
I am stuck at 5-6 star lobbies and i hate it. Most people use nothing, but Mosin. Finally it's going to change.
The reverb effect sounds great, the sound becomes awesome, I like that! Basically everything that was told in this video counts me. I'm full of anticipation :)
