As a Kiwi, I would say that there are different Kiwi accents. South Islander's use harder R's, North Shore girls sound like valley girls, etc

otago roll their R’s not all of south island
Southland roll the R's not Otago so much... There are about five or six distinct accents in New Zealand...

For the record, as an Englishwoman, I say 'bugger', not 'bollocks'. This is probably because even my grandmother (who sounded just like the queen when she spoke) used the word 'bugger'.
