  • I wasn't riding the brakes, but my Ryker thought I was 🙄
    No more problem after adjusting the brake pedal angle 😃

    Thanks for this video, it was very helpful. I am thinking about getting a Ryker next year. I prefer a more upright seating position as well, I'm glad to see the foot peg is adjustable.

    Super helpful info on how to adjust the brake angle, and where to set your pegs so you can stand up more easily. Thank you!

    You are right many people forget they can adjust the break angle. It definitely makes a difference to set it according to your foot and peg position. I figured it out quickly when I bought it, but many people overlook the break position. Ride safe!

    Good video and some good advice. Unfortunately I have to take my Ryker in this Friday to have those codes cleared. I had my break pedal set a number of ways to try to avoid riding the break but it still happens from time to time. Just a little side note the markings 1,2,3,4,5 are just for ease of matching one side to the other. You can place the pegs at any point along the track. So you can also do half positions if you want or need to.
    It’s funny that I just posted a video on changing the peg positions on my Spyder and said the same thing about the break pedal position however it’s more involved changing peg positions than on my Ryker.

      Thank you for sharing that the pegs and be in between the markings! 😃 So just letting the Ryker cool was not enough to reset your code? 😕 Can you share the link to your video on the Spyder? I would like to check it out ☺️

      @@urbandingo6882 unfortunately waiting didn’t help. One time I rode to the dealer to have it fixed and about 4 blocks from the shop it went back to normal. Most times it doesn’t. I’m sure it’s me and not the trike but I could be wrong. It would be great if there was a mechanic who had the ability to tell me what’s wrong. I’m this close to buying the 700$ computer to reset everything myself . I have gone into limp mode 4 times since October 2020. My Spyder did it once I shut it off and then on all clear one and only time.

    thank so much for posting this, can I ask you how tall you are? I'm 5' tall, do you think the back position would be best? I have had 2 limp mode home fault codes on my ryker, first one was from warranty recalls, lm pretty sure l caused the 2nd one because of touching/riding the brake..

      @urbandingo6882  Před rokem

      Hi @rykerlady, I’m 5’3”. I ride with the peg in the most rear position. I keep my foot pointed outwards and pivot back to the brake when needed to avoid accidentally touching it 😁

    How did you get out of limp mode when riding the brake. I think I did that.

    • @urbandingo6882
      @urbandingo6882  Před 2 lety

      Hi Vicky, according to FB groups, try allowing your trike to cool off and see if it resets. If not try reconnecting the battery and/or fuse 15. If none of these worked, I would get it to a dealer 🤷🏻‍♀️ Please let us know what worked for you! 🤞🍀

      @@urbandingo6882 I got that limp home mode vss fault twice. Locked my speed to 51, 59 mph. I ride both times for about 40-60 miles at the top speed above and it cleared. Unplugging the battery didn’t work for me.

    Riding your brake while throttling will cause the trike go into limp mode and stall the trike or cause the trike to throttle with less power
