Major League Soccer started with 10 clubs back in 1996, and now it has 28 and counting. In this video, I will go through all of the expansion clubs to ever join MLS, and rank them accordingly.

MLS has grown massively over the past 26 years that it has existed, adding 19 new clubs. In that time, some have gone better than others. I am here to rank the best and worst Major League Soccer expansion clubs in a tier list. Overall, I like how I ranked the MLS teams, let me know how you think I did in the comments!

Chicago and Miami were the first expansion clubs in 1998.
Houston was not an expansioncub. They were a relocation from the original San Jose Earthquakes.

Technically, they ARE an expansion team. They folded the old Earthquakes and made the Dynamo into a "Expansion" team. So in all reality, the CURRENT Earthquakes are an expansion team.

The really big problem with this video is that you don't consider overall relevance. Sure dynamo won like a decade ago or whatever but they, Colorado, Salt Lake, New England barely have any fans. That's the ultimate measure in my opinion, tlid put them in 'Not So Good' or below.

Can't fully agree with Houston. They moved from San Jose and got to keep their players. They were basically the earthquakes of Houston
