  • In this video we run the rotary cutter on our pasture to take care of some out of control weeds. We manage to get it stuck...pretty bad.

    At least you can get to those spots with your pickup for the assist. I'm always afraid of getting my B2601 stuck because I can't get another vehicle other than another tractor to most really wet places on my land. Nice job today, Lucas :)

      Thanks, David! I have a few spots like that too! I have to stay out of those when it’s bad! I appreciate you dropping by!

    This situation seems very familiar to me 😂! I like seeing pasture land cared for. Can’t stand seeing those tall weeds let go. Good job!

      Yeah, you posted your video the day after this incident actually occurred. 😂 Thanks for the kind words. I’m learning so I rely on my experienced neighbors for advice. 👍

    Oh you got er really stuck! But nice job on cutting things down. Funny thing, I didn't even think of keeping it up high haha. Thanks for sharing and doing the maintenance.

      It seems silly driving around mowing so high, but I want to save as much for them to eat as I can. Lol

    Nice to see you finally give the kubota bx23s a wash, I'll finally get mine tomorrow, I can't wait to get to work on these stumps, then the driveway. I'll be going back over your videos on the attachments, Wish I could have a small farm on my property, but can't on my Neighborhood

      Yeah, washing the tractor is usually pretty far down on the list of priorities, but there was no getting around it this time. 😂🤣 You will have a lot of fun learning to use your new machine! You’ll be amazed what you can do with this little machine!

    You kept a great attitude about it though! I don't think it would be wise for me to film myself in those situations. 🤐

    Pink eye...hmm. No idea. That makes sense. You might want to look into a hydraulic top link. You could run that cutter a bit higher and more level.

    Very nice Lucas. I to have been stuck...ok really really stuck. Took awhile but using the atv and lots of cables and chains, I did finally get out. How do the cows and hens get along? It looked like the cows were chasing the one hen. Nothing like a barnyard brawl. Take care and stay safe.

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Před 2 lety

      They actually get along really well. Sometimes the cows play around and chase them, but they don’t have any issues. Lol

    Like your channel. One question do you own a quick hitch for your tractor?

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Před rokem +1

      Thank you! I don’t. I wouldn’t mind trying one, but I almost think as often as I take the backhoe on and off it might not save me much work overall. I’ve never tried one though…

    Good job. Does your cutter have a slip clutch or shearbolt and which do you prefer? Thanks

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Před 11 měsíci

      Shear bolt. I haven’t used one with a slip clutch, but no issues with the bolt. I’ve had to replace several on my post auger. Simple enough. 👍

    I have a couple of question about your rotary mower.
    Would you buy a different brand, or are you happy with what you have?
    Could your tractor run a 5’ hog?

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Před měsícem +1

      I have been satisfied. I’m pretty rough with it and aside from some dents, it is holding up well.
      I would t recommend a 5’. The BX would turn it, but in thick stuff, you’ll bog it down pretty easily.

      Thank you for the info. This will help me in my search for the right one.
      Also love your show. You do make me laugh on how you beat up that tractor.
      And yes it’s a tractor 100%.

    stuck in a really muddy spot...at least that was the challenge

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Před 2 lety

      I have always avoided that spot, but being able to get to everywhere else made it too great a temptation to try it. 😂

    Hey man what is the valve clearance for the Coleman AT125UT? I can’t find anything on it.

    • @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead
      @PeeksPeakHobbyHomestead  Před 2 lety

      I don’t know off hand. I will do some searching because I did find it once somewhere…. I’ll let you know if I can find it.

      I found .07mm exhaust and intake for the Tao 125cc which should be the same. I am pretty sure that is what I used because I couldn’t find anything on Coleman.

      I have not been a fan of the durability. I normally don’t do too bad with traction, but I knew better than to run off in this mess. Lol
