I hope people will read my comments before they fry up their car battery or some other stupid mistake.
    1. A car battery is not designed for continues usage, it is made so it can quickly peak for starting the engine, and then use a moderately small amount of power to run your vehicle - heavy consumption will ruin it, also keep in mind that your engine's alternator is designed to recharged the battery at a certain pace, which is nowhere near fast enough if you drain so much power so quickly.
    now into topic-
    2. 1000W continues inverter is nowhere near enough to power all needed tools and gear, I'd suggest a minimum of 1500W continues or 2000W if possible.. there is a reason that most people who want to live off grid, and start from bare land, carry with them a genset with about 3000-4000W of power output and a couple Jerry cans of fuel
    good luck

Thanks for the input. It is designed to work with cars and would be a great backup in case of an emergency. But use it wrong and everything you say is true. That said I personally use a 2000watt generator for all my power tool needs and now use this inverter as a backup to my backup

I have the exact bestek 1000 inverter, Bestek emailed me and stated it is capable of handling a 2000 watt momentary power surge. The 1000 watts is referring to continuous service. Most inverters are designed to handle a momentary surge. Thought it might be helpful to know. Thanks for creating this video.

The two brands mentioned in this video are among the best in affordable inverters. You can always spend more yet if on a budget I would go with these (in full sine wave) if you need dependability. Note that the Bestek has easily accessible fuses in case you inadvertently do something silly. I have yet to have a probelm with my Bestek inverters.

  • @briandoortodoordelivery2236

An inverter is a lifesaver in remote situations. HOWEVER, having been-there-done-that, it is worth reminding people to watch their power consumption if the vehicle is not running. Small power tools and battery chargers can drain a car battery down enough that it can't turn the engine over to restart. if you drain both your phone and car battery down on a lot that isn't near people, you have a VERY long walk coming....

I like your recommendation of the Bestek, however keep in mind a nominal 100 amp alternator only puts out 1200 watts, so you may want to consider using more than that intermittently or you will drain your battery. Yes Edison generator design and Edison dynamo design is available at the US patent office and is an open patent. Build a dynamo power plant for houses . A dynamo is an electric powered generator that produces more electric power than it uses. In theory you could have an unlimited number of dynamos powered by the Edison generator and with inverters and transformers power a city with no fuel water wind or steam . Learn to chisel off the Tesla magnets from the generator and your old car generator pre 1974car generator is an Edison generator. An edison generator spins without water wind or steam. Tesla bound the Edison generator with magnets all around the armature and used water to turn the armature coils to produce electricity. Edison used the field magnets to move the coils of copper wire in the magnetic field. So count the Tesla magnets on the armature and divide by 6 chisel three off and leave three on alternating on and off to get a motor pattern on the armature.

Old car generator pre1974 can be chisel from Tesla bound generator to the free spin Edison generator. Count the armature magnets and divide by 6 and chisel off one sixth and leave one sixth on and chisel off another sixth off and leave another one sixth on. You have chiseled off three sixths and left three sixths on alternating on and off all the way around.
