Medieval II will always be the Creative Assembly's best game. A lot of things were spot on in the battles and in the campaign. AI and balancing were outstanding. Early game and late game were engaging and you never got bored due to the impressive scripted global events. Truly, CA's greatest masterpiece. Shame that it was steep downhill for CA after.
On the tectonic canpaign as Denmark on hard I won :) it's not easy keeping gold tho. All about dem tactics , also nice video and strategy p, Do more!!!!!

medieval 2 is just awesome all around! you can still play it with some low tier laptop or computer like i do, you have a great basic game, but the mods are the point which let this game go almost forever...wehter if you want some more indepth gameplay of our medieval age with stainless steel, or even want to go back in time with a great mod called europa barbarorum...and the best of all is just the third age mod...thanks to all the modders out there btw! appreciate it so much..the only people in business with souls left not like EA, ubisoft or even the creative assembly of nowadays ..

That would have taken your men behind their stakes to the left flank of their Armored Swordsmen, and the second layer of walls would have been between your forces and their trebuchets most of the fight.
Could you do a medieval total war 2 battle using Cannons, pikemen, muskets,(or arquebusiers ect) and light cav? Sort of a gunpowder army using line infantry tactics againsts a medieval army.

I only have Medieval II and Attila but I just have absolutely no strategy about me, even if I try to implement it. I'm just never sure how and when or even where to attack - whether to put my archers behind my infantry units or cavalry. Never sure who should be up front, in the rear etc. Hey, does anybody have a link to some strategy tips for Medieval II or Attila?
beautiful battle, however, it feels that you guys kinda messed it up. You went on a single highway, where all the balista fire was, instead of doing multi attacks at the same time. And the same with the last walls. You made a hole in the walls, although you could have attacked the first walls where you put the ladders. You should have destroyed those walls. better angle for artillery, and would cancel the archers. Then, the most vital step. Both of you should have attacked from all angels. 2 ladders going up, the hole in walls, and the main entrance. You had the numbers at that point. A flanking move was needed. Anyway, nice battle.

You should not use cow meat i siege battles when you are the attacker.... Cow meat affect your troops as well as as theirs but since the defender have infinite moral in the town centre, it ends up hurting you the most
Why did neither of you charge hole in the wall? it was undefended for quite a while. could have supported and flanked the fight at the gate and taken a strategic position.
U had the battle won but you put to much of your tired and battered forces to there active-fresh units at the inner gate and used to mush shots from artillery on 2 walls all in all it was good clearing out those archers but you should of took the inituitove from there got more troops up there (good ones that can beat those english swordsmen)
i heard 2 handed infantry are bugged in this game, they never do good against other infantry at all when i use them, the only good thing about them is the charge, and thats it, lol

I love the idea that the dead horse ammo has a petulance effect rather than a pestilence effect. It's just really grumpy.

The English never fought so statically. The post-roman wars of "early Middle-Ages" had tought the English tomfight mobile and nasty.

Destroying towers=wasting ammo. I learned that myself, after 2 walls and 3 towers I remained nearly without ammo ( 2 trebuchets! )

Its part of moors unit, they like to hire christian knight as mercenary a lot. El cid is one of such famous example.

The prices of total war games are too expensive even though they are almost the same game. I only buy them if there is a good offer on steam.
