This video never went viral. I'm a little bit upset. Such a great love story. Congrat to them both!
Thanks! It sort of did, it sort of didn't. There was a good chunk of days where it was being posted all over Tumblr, and the views went from a couple hundred to several thousand. I still get new people watching it all the time. Glad so many have enjoyed the video and the moment.
Their children are going to be insane horn players I'm telling you now. By somewhere around 2029 you'll see his kid's name in the books
God, every single time the same three words get me. "I am home." I can't wait to soon have a corps to call home.

I almost cried, which is saying a lot. I don't cry for anything. Sad parts in movies, happy joyous moments, etc. This was truly the most amazing thing I've ever seen.
Im just impressed that they stood at attention that long. Their arms must be either really freakin buff cause the practice a bunch or that theres like 50 of those people shaking lmao (I know its cause the practice)
12 people weren't proposed to at their age-outs.
I love how the majority of the rest of the corps in the circle stayed at attention.
If I had five seconds... I'd risk running it to ten by saying, "The ones that come after you will forever look up to you. Be always worthy of that respect, and never fail to show it in return."

Wasn't this held at Emmerich Manual High School at Indianapolis, In?! Lol, I go there. This is my second year here! I wish next year DCI would come and talk and help marching band and band students overall!! It makes me sad because it's my senior year next school year. I'm a mellophone/French Horn player and I really want to do DCI, but I'm not financially ready, I need help going out and being out there since I'm use to blending. This will be my third year in marching band. We don't do band camps, I might go to California and if I don't I want to do band camp, and also strengthen my skills and also on my Violin.. My goal as a musician is to play every instrument and create any type of style of music .... I don't know where to start, scholarships, and so on... Usually, programs make you study on one instrument, but I love both...ughh..idk
+Rosebud-Lynn Euneice Yes, it was! The Oregon Crusaders have rehearsed there every summer since 2011, if I remember correctly. They are there the week before championships, so around the second week of August. I don't know if they will be using this housing site again or not -- I aged out the year this video was made, in 2012, so I am out of the loop mostly now. Pursue your musical dreams!

Not gonna lie... This here got me good, I was breaking out in tears. I'm a band nerd here and usually proposals never get to me but this one here... I felt it, I don't know how to explain it but yeah. I'm a senior in high school not expecting to get into a drum corps of any kind but I get it. Last year, moving on, it is gonna be one tough mother out there. I know this is an old vid but congrats my dude and dudett!

Notice the title, "drum corps" proposal. This is not high school or college band. This is drum corps. We travel the country every summer, performing in dozens of stadiums and competing against other corps, culminating in the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana. The year this was filmed, we (the Oregon Crusaders) won the Open Class division gold medal, and it was also my and my fiancée's age-out year, meaning we were too old to do drum corps anymore.

ALL drum corps use contras. Contras have a way better sound than sousaphones. Contras are made to mimic the sound of a concert tuba, which is what most groups want. A concert- like sound on the marching field
