    That paint looks like you could swim in it! So many people don't seem to realize how much work goes into a good paint job.

      and gives you plenty of material to sand down the orange peel...

    Then ppl complain when they are given a quote on a high end paint job like this. So much work and effort goes into an amazing finish like this!

      Yeah, one of those things you can go down the rabbit hole on. But go to enough shows and start to notice orange peel and wavy panels and bad panel transition with gaps that you could throw a dog through, and you start to get it. The paint only looks good if you put the time in beforehand.

    Looks like you could run your arm up to the elbow in that paint. Not only master metal workers, but million dollar paint and body work. Great video. Thanks for sharing!

    Can the rear brake lights be installed from a 1969 to a 68? I like the fact that primer goes on pink. Awesome job guys.

      @frobish0145 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Not without modification to the tail panel - the access holes for the lights are different. Otherwise, they'd fit fine. '68 access holes are oblong horizontal, whereas the '69 holes are noticeably larger with a more vertical alignment. Designed to mate up with the appropriate tail caps to seal that area against weather.

      Epoxy, then it’ll be covered in Soundskins sound deadening, padding, and then carpet when we install the interior.

    3:58: is that a dimple at about 15 cm from the front edge of the hood? Or is it just a game of light and camera :)
    The paint job still looks (sic), though... Good job.

      I see what you're talking about. Not sure what would have caused that in the shot, but I'm standing next to the car and it's not there in real life. Maybe something reflecting off of the stand in front of the hood. Weird.

    Your shop seems to have a very low turnover rate for employees. That speaks volumes about what a great company you have.

      Appreciate the comment. People do come and go for various reasons, but we’re lucky to have a great team. We just try to give people as much autonomy as possible, get them exciting projects with great customers, and let them do what they’re best at by keeping as much of the negative aspects of this business off their plate as possible.
