- iPhone video of playing around practicing some STOL techniques. This was at a dry lake at 4000ft MSL, I dont know exactly what the density altitude was at the time of this but somewhere around 4500-5000ft. Landing ground roll was sub 200ft, takeoff was about 220 or so. This is with the stock Kitfox wing, zipper big bore and 75in air master prop.

such a smooth landing
BEAUTIFUL! BEAUTIFUL! BEEEEAUTIFUL!
Trent - thanks for all the cool videos. Do you know much about a Kitfox 2 with a 912 80 HP ROTAX? Ive been offered a good deal on one by a friend but wonder whether better to hold out for a later model?
I don’t have any experience with the early models, the 912 is definitely the engine to have but I think the big thing is the early models didn’t have as high of gross weights so they were more like ultralights, they also have the older mixing that had more adverse yaw. But that high undercamber airfoil is pretty hard to beat as far as STOL performance
Trent, Some how I think if you redo this video it would be much shorter on both.
Touch n go is a better title as it was a landing and take off in that order 😉
Sorry but that would be a terrible title because this was not a touch and go at all
@@ratherbefishing4225 yeah more like a stop and go
