2000 Scott Boulder Retro Mountain Bike Restoration Build

In this video I’ll be rebuilding a retro 2000 Scott Boulder mountain bike. Excellent condition for a bike that’s 24 years old but had problems including: Seized gear levers, (the grease just dries hard over the years so don’t bin them because servicing them can make them operate like new again), front wheel bearings needed a look at and the rest in need of a good clean / service. It actually builds up to catalogue spec as it came from the factory. Amazing really.

Die Manitou hatte ich früher auch. War sehr leicht. Bei dem bike hätte ich modernere Komponenten verbaut. Eine deore 11fach mit 46er Kassette. Vorne eine 1fach Kurbel von der deore. Das hätte dem Scott gut getan und auch die Performance verbessert.

Yes, I plan on doing some restomod bikes in future videos. This Scott model was exact specification it was sold as off the shelf and would have been a shame to change that. Look out for some upgrades in the future 👌🏻
