Have you heard any of the interviews Silk Sonic has done about this project? Bootsy is not simply the air quotes “host.” Both Anderson & Bruno call him Uncle Bootsy and say he is the force! He not only named the group, you can hear his influence as a premier bassist who got his start with the undisputed King James Brown, as a vocalist, and as a funk legend all over this album.
Fyi...Thundercat is a bass player who also provides backing vocals. The lady you hear in the beginning is Krystal Miles.
Man you got the beginning ALL wrong! Thundercat is harmonizing at the beginning, not Bruno (listen closely). And that's not Thundercat talking, that's a chick! TC is singing and playing the bass. Smdh...And it's a 3 part harmony of Anderson, Bruno and Thundercat throughout the track.
