- During the ongoing shutterdown across Nagaland, Rtd. Gen Niki Sumi NSCN (K) highlighted in a press conference the accusations of multiple taxation against NNPGs by Dimapur Chamber of Commerce & Industries. He said that Nagas, in general should understand the difference between 24 factions and three recognized entities for "Naga Political Issues" and added DCCI is not the right organization to get itself involved in the Naga Political issue. Also, before blaming the NNPGs or any Naga political group, one has to think of the several organizations or unions in Dimapur; those are the actual extortionists who have formed committees to ask for money as a monthly or yearly tax..

How can Nikki call Naga as fool, we are not a fool. There are more educated and more knowledgeable than him. As if he is the only brilliant among the Nagas, calling the Nagas as fool is so arrogant. I use to watch his speech everytime but I see his true color today how selfish he is. From today on I promise that I will never ever watch his speech again. Instead of saying yes we will fight against extortion he was warning the DCCI and the media. How can he say that there are just three factions? Abrogate the cease fire and invoke President's Rule will be the only way out. Nagas have ever right to be independent, but to be independent under the care of these so called freedom fighters will be a desaster.
Only under President's Rule, the custodian in power and the UGs will not be able to deduct presentage from any govt. projects and unadabted taxation/ extortion can be checked.

Every market has it own committee and it's all functions under the observation of DMC and DC. But some Committee have started to tax more than NPGs, that's why there's a commotion in the market 😂😂😂

Honestly, these groups should just tax the rich tsumars who are mooching off the Nagas in general and superseding us in businesses and because they have nothing to do with the Naga freedom struggle plus it all started with the colonialists, especially India. Naga political groups can start asking legal taxes to Nagas once we achieve freedom. Easy peasy.
Cancel all the trade license own by non locals in Nagaland state and introduce a new commerical bill/laws where we Nagas can claim what is rightfully ours. It saddened me to see our markets being owned completely by non locals. I barely see our own people owning a shop in dimapur main market 😢

My parents owned a truck and JCB hiring business in the past but these NPGs would keep on demanding tax. As far as I remember, the highest was 15,000 which can't be termed as tax but extortion.
Also keep in mind that this is only for one faction.
Business wasn't even going good and the harassment by the NPGs on the other hand made my parents shut down the business.
You are talking it's not affecting naga entrepreneurs,how can you say that, let me tell you it is affecting every household,every family ,from the poorest to the rich..Have you forgotten or are you ignorant we Naga people are recovering the amount on the behalf of all the NPGs you took from the business communities ,contractors, government officials and ministers. Because they paid various tax to you people ,they have to recover the paid amount from anywhere,from building low class roads,from taking bribe in office,from stealing from development amount sent from the centre,and we pulic are paying from even the needles we purchase
