I hope Nissan keep this for their future GTR models. Although they dropped the Skyline part from its name, I still see them as just that with the iconic taillights.

Great vid. I drove a r35 Gtr on a track day @Elvington . Loads of cars to choose from so I chose the Gtr , the only cars quicker round the long twisty track were the Ariel atom and V8 atom. The grip and acceleration on the Gtr was awesome. Best way to spend £80 for 5 laps of a track.
I love how this comment section is nothing but dissing the R35 fanboys, which are nearly non-existant in this particular comm section. It must be a great car to generate a lot of unnecessary hate, and to think of it - it is. If the car was worth as much as a lambo or whatever, I don't think it'd be so hated on. All the hate comes from butthurt exotic car fanboys, as far as I can see, who are sad to see their beloved porches/ferraris/lambos left in the dirt by a car that's worth substantially less.

It's still good bargain bang of the buck for super performance cars, but 8 years ago GT-R is not just a mere good bargain but a true giant killer
Makes me wonder why Nissan are hesitant to build R36 GT-R which probably unprofitable due to years of aggresive pricing.
One thing for sure, most people expecting R36 GT-R out soon and it should be a performance bargain compare to its much more expensive competitors when it's released.
Also I wish they bring back GT-R trim to Skyline since Skyline from V35, V36 and now V37 is kinda lame and disappointing which I don't understand why they need to erase it just because they build GT-R as sportcar model. It's just like saying that Benz gonna remove AMG trim from other line-up (A45, C63, E63, S65, SL73 etc) since they already have AMG GT-R as sportcar line-up
I think the R35 was to be killer of the big boys.
