로리커"는 만주어로 "긴 목"이라는 뜻이다 호수의 형태때문에 붙여진 이름일 것이다. 이곳은 "3강발원지", 해란강과 고동하(송화강의 지류), 홍기하가 바로 여기서 발원한다. 연변에서 장백산으로 가는 도로중의 한갈래가 거쳐가는 곳이기도 하다.
로리커호는 고산계절호수로 물이 많을 때는 호수이고 갈수기 때에는 소택지로 변한다. 해발과 기후 등 원인으로 로리커호는 고산소택습지형태를 나타내며 수많은 동식물이 자생한다.
일제강점기 청산리전투가 있었던 곳이 근처이며 선봉령에서도 많은 전투가 있었다고 한다.
패망전 일본이 비행장목적으로 건설하던 곳이 습지가 되었다고 한다.

The place where the Battle of Cheongsanri took place during the Japanese colonial period is nearby, and it is said that many battles took place in Seonbongryeong.
It is said that the area that Japan was building as an airfield before its defeat became a wetland.
