The VisionAire VA-10 Vantage Jet was a planned light-business jet that was supposed to be evolutionary to Business Aviation and executive jets and years of design went into the very first prototype of the jet. But after several problems with the Jet became clear, the company spent all their time and money to save the jet that was already far behind its competition with the Cessna Citation Jet.
The first time seeing this jet in person after finding out its backstory was definitely a more sorrowful experience. The abandoned and forgotten state N247VA is in, foreshadows the life that the jet was supposed to have and how it went from being what seemed like one of the most successful executive jets, to a failure in the aviation industry.

@@jwaviation16 I love your videos showing the history of the aircraft at Maxton. They have sort of an eerie feel but the clips of them operating in the past also make me sentimental about the times I used to fly Northwest.

While exploring Maxton and researching the aircraft it really allowed me to connect back to when commercial aviation was at it's finest and when flying truly was a luxury! And along the way of making and posting those videos, it allowed myself and so many others to connect with people who have personal connections with these aircraft and remember them from when they were in their prime time of service 😁
