Hey Ricky. I've watched quite a few of your videos over the past year, and you've helped a lot with the mods I've done to my E92 M3. I'm about to install my GTS wing and I have a question. How were you able to get the bolts to snug up on the underside of the trunk with the rounded curve of the other part of the trunk in the way? Right at minute 7:44. Thx bro.
Would you recommend adding reinforcement plates on the inside of the trunk?

Where’d you get your spoiler at?
If you ever do another one, put tape down, put the wing on the trunk on the tape, trace it & use a micrometer to measure out your holes. That bad ball will be dead balls! P.S. don’t forget when you drill into metal to touch up the bare metal or it’ll rust & eventually rot….✌🏻🏁

PSA for anyone attempting to do this:
The base plates should be essentially touching the trunk lip. This video shows the base plates almost an inch too far forward. If you look at pictures of a GTS/GT4 car you can immediately see where the wing should be.
Don't mean to rain on your parade man, but try to find another car with a GTS wing in person, you will see what I mean.
So wing placement my friend is all personal preference, essentially how downforce works is the further back you have it the more downforce you essentially have, I personally don’t like it all the way back so I put it about 3/4” forward. Now to compensate for that you can make the wing have more angle to create more downforce. All I’m saying is learn about arrow before commenting on my video. Appreciate the feedback though.
@@drivenbyricky4651 I understand how wings create downforce. The GTS wing hardly creates any downforce, all it does is reduce lift unless you run an extremely high AOA. This is why the Schirmer cars have the wings at nearly maximum AOA. If you knew about "arrow" you would not have a replica GT4 lip and you would be using a proper undertray and splitter to create front downforce, instead of screwing a flimsy lip to a bendy ABS plastic bumper. Your passive aggressive reaction is peak insecurity. I was trying to share insight and I didn't attack your knowledge or character, yet you took it as personally as possible.
For the sake of discourse, if you still had a factory trunk lip on the car and left the current gap between trunk lip and baseplate, you may have been in the ballpark of where the wing actually goes. The M performance spoiler is wider front to back and that is why I said it should be nearly touching the trunk lip.
Anyway good luck I guess, you are in for some tough experiences if you discount advice from others so readily.
