anyhow i think that would make a more interesting story than a mercenary mission
I don't understand. Leblanc is Noxian and Samira is loyal to Noxus, why would she kill Leblanc or a clone of Leblanc?
@@josephhelms2362 Many reasons. Perhaps Samira was once directly affiliated with the Black Rose Cabal and left to pursue her own interests, Ala John Wick (Supported by her title. "Desert Rose", anyone?). Perhaps Samira took a job that favoured Swain's faction over LeBlanc's. It could be as simple as Samira simply running into the Cabal when she shouldn't have and having to fight to survive.
Hopefully future stories can explore her relation with the Black Rose further.

honestly in some very far future i'd love to see samira climb mount targon as a rework since she is always looking for the next big challenge.
Samira, Olaf and Aatrox team up against A. Sol and the other dragons invading Targon. That would actually be a really cool cinematic !

Eh, Samira climbing mount targon is a bit out of character for Samira. Sure, climbing the mountain is challenging, but just imagine if you heard about the story and your some kind of one man army who LOVES thrills and fights, thinking about climbing mount targon probably is the most boring thing you ever heard.
In a world of gods and monsters, her story so far has to be one of the tamest in lore xD

Samira means “tanned woman” in Persian. It’s a popular name and it is believed to be the short form of “Samiramis”, a Persian princes who married this king of Babylon and she was one of the first female warriors in history.
She also has a line about “saffron and rice”, which also confirms her Persian roots cause hey, we love saffron lol
Samira in Arabic is just the female of samir, a friend you chat with at night
The person who wrote her lore said she was inspired by her father's culture. She also mentioned her father is from Kashmir, a muslim-majority state in India. Samira is inspired by Indian culture which has a lot of Arabic influence. Kashmir also farms saffron at a large rate and rice is a staple food in India. Please change your comment to reflect that.

I assumed she was themed around more of a "moor" background, as the music that went with her reveal trailer felt Spanish insired to me. Which would make some sense as despite her Shuriman heritage, she has embraced Noxian culture. The name is indeed Persian though, so maybe they went for an "fantasy middle East meets fantasy Europe" theme. I have a relative called "Samra" which I'm pretty sure is a variation of Samira.

You know what? Whenever you think of Noxus at war... you typically think about Demacia... and vice versa. And while they may technically be fighting each other. The lore *really* doesn't talk about it much...

Dude I swear Noxus holds the best mercenary/assassins in all of runeterra, they have Katarina known for taking entire camps of enemies by herself, Talon who has never failed into assassinating his target and now Samira that is most likely the best mercenary on runaterra

Where and how did she ger her guns though? Noxus has bought munitions from Zaun/Piltover before, but it's never been in a regular capacity.
Sure you mention Noxus having blackpowder, but that's not something you straight up mine, unless Runeterra's "black powder" is somthing different from the real world's. Also, there's a lot of development to go from crude muzzle loaders to slick magazine fed breach loading automatics.
Side note, firearms really should have a bigger impact, let alone the fact that the steampunk cities have already made full-auto breach loaders, combat cyborgs, and death rays.

When you think about it, it's a pretty Noxian way of fighting. In real life, Roman accounts of barbarian warriors described some of them wielding longswords with no shields, and swinging them broadly, because the warriors were so individualistic in expressing themselves in combat, that they would prefer to fight inefficiently just for the glory of it. That reminds me of Noxus.
