We currently live in Nelson Co. VA and are in the process of buying 30 acres in Fieldale Va. we have about 13 chickens now but thinking about getting 2 or 3 pigs for the new property to help clear off the land. It was clear cut about 8 years ago so it’s pretty thick with new growth. I just turned 60, you think I can handle it lol

I wish they had conferences here like the one that all of you had . Arizona once was really big into farming Ranching all types of agriculture but they haven't been for years. They're finally giving homestead in agricultural classes in some high schools and colleges yet there is no support for any of them Unfortunately most of them will have no success unless they do business with a corporate company. Hopefully it changes I believe we should always support our ranchers farmers and our homesteaders.
In Tioga and Bradford County, PA, the Conservation District staff organize the Women in Ag days. Extension agents often present or have a display. Ask your local district, if they put on a program, if you wish to learn. The Conservation Districts also put on ag field days. One of the districts has the meals catered by a local food prep school. So you could suggest that to your planner type, if they want ideas.
They have had the underwear demo at the meetings a few times over the last few years.

I have s lot of deer and foxes ,ground hogs ,racoon they are try to kill our chickens or trying to eat our garden how do you stop any of this I have lost 4 birds in the pass week
