Hi, I recently subscribed to this channel. I'm not officially trying to learn Chinese, but I like to learn about East Asian culture, traditions, languages, etc. I want to say I really enjoy and appreciate your work with these videos, well done! 😊
Talking about the character xia 下, does it have any relation with xiao 小? They seem to have similar meaning and pronunciation (down-small / xia-xiao).

    嗨艺敏,来生的拼音不应该 ”xià bèizi“ 而不是 “xià bèizǐ”,至少在标准的普通话中是这样吗? 我用台湾普通话听懂,但我以为大陆人把第二个音节改成了中性音。

@@yiminchinese FYI, some of the words in Chinese are polyphonic and polysemous characters, you will have to pronounce the second word in 3rd tone when both of the words are 4th tone, this only applies to some of the words, you can try to listen to the google translator.
