    In ADWD, Wun Wun is by no means the last giant. The rest are thought to remain in their own place, those who chose not to join Mance.
    Fun fact: giants are vegetarians, although they aren't spreading the word all the time lol

      Stannis Baratheon where do giants get their food. There must be a land further north that is lush with vegetation. And maybe is summer when westeros is winter. Or maybe southeros raps around to the land of always winter. I've always thought that giants came from southeros.

    • @Stan_S_Stanman
      @Stan_S_Stanman Před 7 lety +17

      The Cynic I guess you mean Sothoryos
      It's very briefly mentioned in the books, described as a land full of jungle. So in that sense you have point.

    It's so sad that giants aren't easy to create in a show since they look so intimidating when humans see them for the first time and they made wars even more epic.
    I think they could really help the humans fighting the death; remember how they were climbing on the last giant and he just threw them meters away? c:

    It's funny you mention hibernation state. Do you think Hodor didn't have a seizure but, his mind went into a hibernation state? Only using the phrase Hodor would expend less energy (the basis of hibernation) than talking and he did have giant's blood. If Hodor did go into a hibernation state, both normal and when he was warged, for all those years, imagine what full blooded giants could do.

    I think it's widely considered by most theorists that "Waking giants from the Earth" is a metaphor for some kind of cataclysmic movement in the ground like an earthquake. Of course that could be wrong, it's meaning might be literal.
    But considering the other time this phrase is cited is in relation to the Children of the Forest destroying the land that connected Dorne to Essos to create the Stepstones - and that the horn is thought to be of the Children's creation (or at least of their brand of magic) - it seems more likely the horn would recreate whatever happened in Dorne to move the Earth; the result being the destruction of the wall.

      StarWarFan I guess because the Cotf aided the humans and specifically Bran who is the night kings enemy. Had they just been there having a picnic or chillin I doubt the NK would even care. That's also what he means with the other giants, if they are just doing their own thing and not bothering the NK then the wights just leave them alone.

    It would be cool for there to be a big battle scene between Jon and the White Walkers, and then a small horde of giants enter.

    In ASOIAF, there are so many unlikely plot twists, and events which happen earlier are often given a whole new meaning later in the plot. As GRRM is such an intelligent and devious writer, I doubt he would give the most obvious meaning to a huge statement in the show or the books. Where the Three-Eyed Raven says the whole, "you won't walk again but you will fly" thing, would he necessarily mean Bran will warg a dragon, as that's the most contextually obvious explanation? On the contrary, he could just be referencing that Bran will become the next Three-Eyed Raven, and ravens are birds, which mainly fly.

    If the white walkers were no threat to the giants, then why did some join Mance Rayder in the first place?

    what's with the excuse of no budget for CGI surely a show as big as this can afford a few giants dragons and direwolves

    In the books the white walkers are animating bears and wolves so why not giants.

    The giant who lifted the gate during the attack on the wall was their King..that the King would flee south of the wall together with the free folk, abandoning the rest of the giants up north makes no sense..it was well established that every living being north of the wall united under the guidance of Mance, because of the white walkers..at the end of season 7 there wasn't a single living creature north of the wall (white walkers even turned polar bears, so they were literally turning every living creature they encountered).
    tl;dr no, there are no giants left.

      i don’t like this answer, im just going to assume no giant’s are important to the plot from now on and don’t get screen time

    So the first men migrated from esos? I thought they didnt even exist.. and what's the difference between the first men and andals

    • @pain002
      @pain002 Před 2 lety +1

      First men kind of more brute-ish a.k.a. Northeners today with house stark and andals being classical westerners a.k.a. Lannisters, Stormlanders etc.

    Do you think that the Night King has some kind of hidden army, that he hides away some of his more elite forces like maybe Giants?

  • @mikaylaf-playingdevilsadvo2325
