  • Where is the best place to sit on an airplane with a baby or toddler? I surveyed 20+ other moms who travel with their babies and toddlers and asked them what the best and worst seats are to sit on an airplane. I discuss the window seat vs the aisle seat, the front vs the back of the plane, and whether or not the bulkhead row is better than a normal row, when traveling with a baby or toddler.
Here are the window seat activities that I mentioned in this video:

    Window spinners: amzn.to/3TcRpKK

The failed nap time so relatable 😅 Gave me a good chuckle. I'm about to take a 14 hour flight solo with my 9 month old. I've booked the aisle seat just in case I need to walk him up and down the aisles, I dont want to have to wake someone (it's overnight). So far the flight is pretty emptyish so I'm hoping they can put me in an empty row upon check in, fingers crossed!!

hehe :) Yes, the empty row is everything. Let me know how it goes. About to do 21 hours (with a layover) with my two year old! We got this!

I wish I watched this before I got tickets . We have one person in window seat, I feel bad for that person tho. Our toddler is very very squirmy . I hope he/ she will be nice person or he moves to different seat 🙏 . Anxiety is hitting me hard but your videos are giving me some hope ❤thank you.

Even after so many flights with my son, I still get anxiety right before I go! Most people are very kind and understanding about babies and toddlers on planes (and if they're not, they aren't worth worrying about)!

I have an almost 3 hour flight with my son and he’ll be 16 months…I am so anxious. Thankful for videos like this but this mama still can’t help but be anxious a bit 😅

I still get anxious too, even after many flights with my son. All I can say is it will end 😄 and the trip is always worth it (in my humble opinion!) 🩷

I generally pick a window and somewhere close to a bathroom. Also back of the plane because I’m not really in a hurry and like to take my time to make sure I didn’t forget anything and it’s supposed to be safer if the plane goes down😅. But the bathroom is probably the most important to me 😂

I also love a window and the back of the plane!

The real question is where do babies sleep in the airplane ? Do they have bed cot for them or ?

This is great info thank you!
I have an upcoming flight with my then 2 yr old. They've put us (3 of us) in the last row in the 4 seater middle. I'm thinking it might be better to be a window 3 seater? Thoughts? Also, do you think the extra legroom (bulkhead) is better for overnight or daytime flight?

Hi! It really all comes down to personal preference because there are pros and cons for every row. The only objection I have to the last row is no recline -- but I do like it for more darkness (the front rows/bulkheads tend to be brighter, busier, noisier in my experience). The window is also nice for a bit of privacy -- like a sort of cocoon, especially for creating a little toddler "cave" bed (one of my more recent videos has the set up we use with a toddler plane bed + blanket canopy). I think I've come to not really love the bulkhead -- the leg room is great, access to the bathroom, etc. But I don't like how often the arm rests don't go up (!!!) and you have to have all of your bags stowed for take off. I'm rambling now -- I hope this is helpful!
