    Nice to see you modifying your tongs to fit the stock. Lots of us don't do that, but it really helps. Watching this, I remembered the old carpenter's motto, "measure twice, cut once."

      Yea it helps to be able to modify them. I just need to learn to forge my own because that is an invaluable skill in this type of work.

    Making hooks is hard and making them all the same and look good is even harder!
    Overall a very good first go at it!

      Thanks. I feel i need to use a smaller hammer for this to have more control since i have no blacksmithing skills

    As an aspiring engineer I think you cold have saved some box tube if you modified some of the hooks to have a dip in the other direction so you could mount them 180 degrees. This might be a little harder to make but, more material and space efficient. I my opinion some locking nuts would hold those much more securely considering how easily that one came off.

      I tacked it back up. If they ever do fall off ill probably go that route. Im just curious how long it will last. I did do a pretty crappy job 🤣
