Thanks for the vid. I spent the weekend and rode Castle quite a bit. The lips are still just as steep. I come from riding park a lot last year and these steep lip jumps with long tables and lips on the landing are no where to be found except for Bentonville. I mentioned to a local at the bottom that these transitions are not right, rode Snow Summit last year and they have perfect transitions and you can fly off them. He literally started yelling at me and told me I need to learn how to jump. Was quite taken aback, apparently there is some weird local thing about steep lip poorly designed jumps? Met another set of local who were going big off the Coler hub onto Cease and Desist, super cool guys and those jumps are built perfect, same with the beginner jumps on Fireline, perfect transition for the style of jump to practice on. Maybe its just the particular builders showcasing their "style" of trail building? Tried the jumps at Air Raid and they were built fine.... Just really seemed that all the money that went into the Castle lines they could do better. I always rate a trail or run by when I get done do I smile and want to do it again, not much smile there compared to other areas.

100% agree. The g6 trails need just a little bit of redoing

your are rigth , its my second day only in bentonville but i have never pedal so much into a jumpline ... still very fun but i would rather do a brake check than pedaling like iam training on zwift

I went there today and took Lomb Wolf backwards to it because I'm not familiar with the trails here after moving down almost a year ago. I have an ebike because of all the arthritis and spinal fractures I have so I only took the beginner one down off it to the street. You do get a nice view from it even with the newer interstate path right there. (I49)

At 4:50: YES, I felt the same way when we rode there a few months ago. Someone had reshaped & steepened the transitions and made the jumps bigger. I wasn't too thrilled. If I had a week to work on clearing them I think I'd get there but on just a long weekend? Not a chance. I've got other stuff to ride! Felt like it was such a shame since before the refresh I could clear everything and just have a great time without too much consequence. I guess maybe they felt bad for plowing over Rotten Apple and this is how they're making up for it?

I'm sure it will be refined eventually.

That's the one you can see from highway 49, correct?

They definitely ruined this area. It's used to flow, have progression and there was no penalty for going slower. Now, every jump is designed to stop your forward momentum unless you clear it. These steep lips they're putting in everywhere with the hump at the back, they're horrible for people who don't know how to jump and want to learn. Horrible re-design. Love the rock work they've done, and this used to be my favorite area, but I won't be going back until it changes again.

I agree. All they need to do is change the lips from being steep to more flat so they dont ruin the speed on the trail
