I'm following Fridays trades. Your method for getting out of losing trades is interesting. You just added to aud/usd to get out of that one. I'm doing the same on USD/cad. But, I targeted my 'recovery' trade entry point @ the 100 day average. Order got filled, & so long as the price goes ½-way to the first trade, im even on this. Pretty damn good & clever idea. The kind of thing that's simple & easy, which are the kind of things that are usually the best. Well see what happens.
@@cody9419 WELL DONE. Recall what Nick is saying too...Nothing works all the time. Adding to losers can prove an account wipe out too. The bad news is there isn't a blueprint but you WILL get better. Theres a definite "feel" to it and your brain only gets better by reps. Reading MJs basketball advice will do zero to perfect your jumper but it will tell you what to focus on when you practice. Hope that makes sense. GL

I reached -6K last year, it took 5 months in the market and money was gone. I first saw your video at the beginning of January, and all of your tips seemed to make sense to me. I started to apply the 50/50 rule using the remaining money I have: $800, adjusting it a bit so hopefully can better suit my trading behavior, and traded with the mindset of "I can only control risk, not the market."
A day ago, exactly on 29th February, I break even and recovered from losses. Thank you for everything you do here Nick.

Pure gold again... thanks Nick I've turned off all my socials, drawn S/R rectangles above/below price, and now just trading off H1 charts... doing my best to ignore the over-complicating voices in my head saying "you're not analyzing this price action enough!!"... what you said to me, "your curiosity is your compass, and your intuition is your map" is, like, Streets-Lined-With-Gold type wisdom. Life-changing, literally...

It's interesting to think about...Inexperienced traders mostly do exactly what Nick says (intuition) but quite frankly their intuition sucks hard. That's why they either fly by the seat of their pants and blow accounts or try to follow rules that never work out. Trust me when I say Ive failed in both methods. After trading for a decade now, intuition is at a level where I do almost exactly what Nick is reporting to do. Forget the shortcuts guys. Forget the "news" . Focus on price action and levels of R with an eye on the economic calendar to know when to sit out. Its easy . Trade small until you don't suck, and almost everyone does....until they don't. Most of all, don't quit. You'll thank me later. These two cents are worth untold fortunes. I PROMISE.

I took like 3 losses this week and still have my cash. Before I’d lose one trade and that was my whole account gone. My main goal is now to protect my capital 100%. With this mindset I can NEVER blow my account.

i hate to be the guy to tell you, but if your main goal is protecting your capital you will always have too much fear which will also prevent you from profitable trades. I do understand your mindset, protecting capital is always good, but i find that one of the things in order to click, is to trade without fear. Just lower your risk, 0.5% and focus on the pips. THe money will come later.

He knows what he is talking about,it is like gambling,even roulette i have strategy 63% win rate ,one won nice im out for today(risk managment)trading for me is more managable than roulette,i made nice money in roulette with risk managment and even in roulette there is number 0 ,harder to win ,but trading is eqsier to manage risk ,plus you can have more comfirmations and all that ,in roulette ,i cannot really do analyses ,unless checking the last colours

Good shit all around! I just don't really understand why we're trading pairs that are in opposition to each other? We're long on CAD in AUD/CAD & short CAD In USD/CAD. But, we'll see, I guess. Good stuff!
I feel like this applies to all financial markets. I trade options and literally have used this approach this past week and have had more success than I have in the past where I was trying to use a “strategy”

My intuition is currently of the scale due to SR meditation and general good clean healthy living, mostly I just freaking know inside where price is going but I’m still prone even into my fourth year trading FX of listening to others opinions, next week I’m cutting out all the online BS and just going with my knowledge & intuition , I’m currently just at break even and ready to start making good profit s on UZ & UM + Gold which I have all stuck with from day one of my journey in 2020 . It is interesting that you do not mention fundamental analysis. For example when big money is buying you don’t wanna be selling. Or interest rates and market correlation. That generally will give you an edge. I assume risk management alone can also make you profitable in your case which is interesting to know.

Congrats, a really stand out channel. And your tonality/encouragement/ honesty is spot on. Hope you keep them coming I suspect you've changed a lot of people's lives.
I bet this can work well for some people. I'm learning now that having that context for where the market is likely to go next (50/50) is important but ultimately a small piece of the puzzle. Using very tight risk entries and learning how to manage trades well is definitely where the huge R/R is made from. Mostly not taking profits too early. I do use something to help "protect" the trades early on though (various levels and trendline breaks after 2R). It's not much less profitable than going all or nothing to another obvious key level, but it helps psychologically. I still have to be willing to take a lot of punches to the face on small sized stop-outs though. Using a gigantic 1R initial trade setup and then just choosing to cut losers early based on some kind of price action intuition is probably good for people who trust themselves not to rationalize hanging onto trades, and at the very least will cause them to breakeven if they at least respect the full 1R stops and take profits. I prefer to put my dong in a meat grinder with lots of tiny red trades, so that I never really have to end on a red day - unless the market just did not move at all, or I completely screwed up on catching any of the larger moves.

Bro, in all honesty, why tf would you not just automate your main S/D strategy? It is stupid simple and and you wouldn't have to sit at the charts all day... You can hedge even better and be more precise, no need for SLs, at least not hard SLs.
The day I switched to algos was the most important day in my life. I do trade manually, but it is exclusively swing/positional trading, no daytrading bullshit, because this is where algos shine.

I swear discretion and intuition is the best trading method...overthinking,,over analysing and secondguessing all are caused by strategies that are not in harmony with the market....ICT student sees a FVG ...another trader see bulling engulfing...another sees hammer and another sees multiple wicks rejection...it's discretion..

I love that I'm not the only one who has figured out a black and white strategy will not make it happen. Market does three things, a strategy does one thing.... 33% likely you're right, but 67% likely you're wrong robot.... 😐 Bot traders have many bots and they still make an analysis of what the market is doing one or the other and put the right bot on it, intuition trading is the same thing, you know what tool to use to manage your risk for the current market.

I had been trading for total of 5 years+, I was in full of red PnL up to the 4th years, loss almost all my savings.
I came across your CZcams content last year, applied it to my trading, simplifying it to just support/resistance with hedging as my risk management.
