What I love about this channel is you get history that not many people in the history circles cover. History isn’t about the well known, to understand history is to understand all history, not just about the usual people in history. Long life this channel! ❤️
Can you imagine how painful that was to have cervical cancer and nothing for pain
So I know it was the 1930’s and all,but picture this : You’re a young lady, still at home with your parents who care about you enough to take you to the hospital when you’ve been feeling sick, and you get all kinds of tests done for a diagnosis. Among all the doctors, nurses, technicians, etc., there is a kindly-looking grandpa type dude, your x-ray tech. He SOMEHOW convinces you - and your family 😮- to treat your very serious and fatal illness with his, and only his, (limited) medical plan. How?! HOW in the entire chain of command did that happen?! 😵💫 Like, ok, maybe her family couldn’t pay for treatment, or it was Maria’s decision against parental advice 😢, but how did nobody at the hospital step in and be like “Hold up, Karl, you’re a very smart and valuable x-ray technician here, but this lady needs actual Physicians and care in a facility, not a tonic and some pretty dresses!” 😂 I just don’t understand how he slipped through the entire chain of command at the Hospital and how nobody in her family was using any sense at all 😓🪦
Cervical cancer doesn't cause much pain. I survived it and I had no noticeable symptoms. It was discovered when I was having a hysterectomy for ovarian cysts. That problem saved my life!

I guess it's like it is today.
@@ittybittykittymama7582It depends on what stage it's in.
I'm surprised more people haven't subscribed to this channel. I think it should be an international holiday, forgotten lives. You do beautiful work, and such a beautiful voice to hear your telling through ❤ Thank You
Thank you! Most people don't, I wish I could get 300k already!
You are wonderful for this. My arthritis is on fire thanks to the fluctuating Texas weather. Your channel is like Bob Ross. Educational and soothing. A blessed distraction.
Thank you so much for your hard work. ❤
Wow, thank you! And I hope the pain eases up
I live in Texas now. Been here only about 3 and a half months. Is that why my fibromyalgia is killing me? The fluctuations in temperature? I know that this channel has nothing to do with my problem lol but at least I know what is wrong with me and why I’m hurting! Thanks! And thank you FL for this and all your hard work!❤

I’m
I am wearing my Aqua Tofana shirt as I watch (it is old Bailey Sarian merch). Was amused that the story showed up on this list.
Bailey Sarian has made Aqua Tofana iconic 😂
aqua tofana LOL 😂 I love Bailey
Argghhh i thought of “Aqua Tofana” as soon as i saw that first painting! Can you find her old merch on a site? I’m a bit late to the game, started watching her like 3 years ago, but I’d love an old aqua tofana shirt! ❤❤
Tbh, I think it's a little devastating that she was caught. I mean I'm sure there was a decent number of women who used it to kill husbands that weren't abusive, but I think on the whole it had benefited many women in getting out of abusive situations. Situations they would have never been able to get out of.
I absolutely love these documentaries, presented with such empathy, thank you for these. Especially through the dark winter days.
The last story actually freaked me out. Obsession is such a scary thing!
That story was soooo so sad.
What a delight, to learn about historical figures through your narration!
Thanks!
Over an hour? You are amazing! Just before my bed time. You are very appreciated for your great work. Thank you FLives. Edit: I am watching/listening to you on big screen, such beautiful history illustrations, and I can see your green eyes! ☺👍🏻
Yes ❤

😊💙👍🏻
It was awesome compilation FLives. I enjoyed it throughout! Your narration is just perfect. Thank you so much. You had good ads 👍🏻 I wish good night!
Seconded
Thanks as always for the amazing support Elke, hope you are well 🙏
Thank you for your work, FL, it is much appreciated
I just read 3 great books on Julianna the poisoner. They were fantastic. I am so glad you covered her. I loved this hour long episode. I love all of your episodes. You remind me of my European relatives when you are reading these.I have been to Key West and visited the graveyard where Marie is buried and where he lived. He was crazy and an imposter.
Mozart probably was killed by Aqua Toffana, but by his fellow Freemasons. He gave away a lot of Freemasons secrets in 'The Magic Flute.
Thanks you for these fascinating cases.
For reference, the comment about Syphilis stemming from contact with the native Americans, may be incorrect. There has been skeletal proof that syphilis existed in Europe prior to the contact with Native Americans. As always love the video!
I've been to Rose Hall! So glad you are including her story, too
Excellent as always Sir, thank you!!!🙏👍🦉❣️
Thank you kindly :)
Such incredible work job well done you should be so proud of yourself ❤
I forgot to mention how your channel is so so relaxing as well. The narration, along with the illustration, takes one back in time. I am sitting here listening, and I realized how much my mind is off any troubles. What troubles? See? It’s working 😊
Wow, thank you!
Thank you for another amazing video! History truly is the most interesting story there is 😊
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lovely voice, face and eyes, i could listen to you all day, you cover history I've never hurd of, and i read and listen to a lot of history, ❤ thank you so much,
“There was great hypocrisy within the church during these years…” ha ha ha ha Nothing has changed, eh?!! Ugh! Love these stories! Really cool!!
I love this channel so much your videos are awesome man
Thanks a ton!
Wonder narrative, interesting stories. This young man is quite handsome and his voice most appealing.
Thanks for the support 😆
You're an amazing storyteller. I love learning history from you
Glad you enjoy it!
You have a perfect speaking voice/speed/pattern. It makes for easy and relaxing listening.
What if the foster daughter took the princesses place and was the one in prison, the princess was free but acting as the other. Once the "princess " was released, the true princess took care of her by providing the money used to buy the castle, etc... (maybe the princess had some of the queen's jewelry that disappeared???)
This is brilliant. Thank you so much! I love the content of this channel.
Glad you enjoy it!
Thank you for this upload❤❤
You're welcome 😊
Thanks so much for a wonderfully interesting compilation. Love your work!!!
Forgotten Lives, thank you for this extra long video of some dastardly characters from the past. I love watching your videos, interesting, and informative. Also, the visuals you use add to the interesting aspect to each video. 😊
Glad you like them! Thanks 😊
@@ForgottenLives You're welcome. The video was wonderful to watch. 😁
I truly appreciate this channel. History and I love that you have little known people of color. It warms my heart. Great job. ❤

Thank you for this in-depth coverage! I always enjoy learning new bouts of history through your hard work. Appreciate it!!! ❤
More to come!
I love these so much, and listening to your voice is very relaxing too. Thank you for your videos🙏 I love history
Correction Europeans was the once that spread these diseased were ever they colinized
Thank you as an indigenous First Nation woman I was coming straight to the comments to correct this slight error other than that I love his videos
Yeah everyone knows who gave it to a whole continent soo...crazy that he said after coming back from the americas noo sir!! 🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️
I find it hilariously oxymoronic that the 'correction' itself needs correction.
Happy New Year to you and yours, Nicholas, and to your viewers. ❤️ from 🗽
Thank you for all your interesting history videos. This one is particularly interesting
What beautiful paintings, thank you~
57:53 my grandmother's estate is near the White witch of Rose Hall estate. I could sit on her roof and look down and see Rose Hall
So excited about this one! Love your narrations
Hope you enjoy it!
The inspiration for "Dracula" was likely Elizabeth Bathory.
Lord have mercy! I don't feel so bad about myself now!😂
that was amazing loved it i'm gona ad to my watch again playlist xxx
Thanks :) xx
YOU ARE AN AMAZING PRESENTER SECOND TO NONE (actually)
Thank you thank YOU thanking youuuu for your such incredible efforts!!!!!!!!!!
much appreciated
🙏👍🙌👏💛
Your cadence is soooo soothing 💙
Your research is top notch 🙂
Thanks so much ❤
Thanks as usual :)
It was not contracted in America. The European syphilis was much more virulent.
Mozart had finished and had "The Magic Flute" performed months before his death. His unfinished work was the "Requiem".
Apparently there's a reasonable suspicion that Mozart was killed by the Freemansons, due to his revealing "secrets" of theirs in Die Zauberflote. Not sure about the validity of this claim, but it certainly makes for a more interesting story than Salieri orchestrating Mozart's death for "the jealoussssss"
It's been recently found out that syphilis did not come from America. It originated in Europe, they found at least one body from the mid 1300's that had syphilis.
Love your voice, thanks❤
Thank you too!
The custom of removing the heart of deceased royalty, for separate burial, was common with French royalty. I do not know if it was practised by Spanish, Portugese or Italian royalty.
Omg I love stuff like this 😍🥺
Hope you enjoyed!!
Damn, dude- men aren’t supposed to be that pretty 😂
Host is such a hottie, never get tired of his content 😍
Thank you.
Welcome!
Loving all the illustrations and long format but with shorter tales such that one can rewind in the morning to where you fell asleep. No offence mate, the material is fascinating but your voice is incredibly soothing.
Thanks for the support, not sure why I should take offense? 😅
I nearly broke my thumb getting to this video 😂
😂 hope you enjoy!
Ceasera is one of the most fascinating figures in history
I've heard Dracula was inspired by Elizabeth Bathory.
Yeah that lady was insane! Bloodbath😱🤢
Aqua tofana is one of my favorite stories ❤.
All I can hear is bailey sarian saying "aqua tofana"😂
I knew a Lucrezia from 110th street
👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Wolfsbane and aconite are the same thing!
Chronic pain sucks
Bro yours Elvis lost son GOD YOUR HANDSOME
🎉❤
Screams echoing from... the gift shop. yeah, well OK. I guess there´s no such thing as bad adveretising.
Be curious
this would be great but I cant get through the ads
I miss the spaghetti in the background 😢
It will have to come back soon then!
I can't imagine being a female during these times. It's like "hey, you can't know anything about sex or engage in anything sexual with anyone"..... "But........ Now that you've had your first bleed. I need you to go be married to this guy who's like 15-20 years older than you so that our family can have the political advantage & I need you to do ALL the things we told you to never do. And I don't care if you like the guy or not. BYEEEEE!" Repeat x3
Uhhhhh.... Okay dad?
'Palmer' rhymes with 'farmer' for pronunciation purposes.
In the UK we pronounce it differently :)
@@ForgottenLives I was born in Leicester, 'smack bang' in the middle of England, lived here all my life.
'Palmer' rhymes with 'Calmer', eg 'Robert Palmer', 80's pop star.
@@lauraashton8602 you're right, not sure where i heard Pul-Muh type pronunciation. My mistake, won't happen again 👊
@@ForgottenLives 🙂👍
24:52 i still consisder this to be the real first step in the womens liberation movement.
The Catholic Church should have allowed priests to marry, there would have been so much less abuse of children .
Roman Catholics don't marry. However I'm Ukrainian Catholic (still under the Pope) and our priests can be married and have families.
There is no reason to show your self
A lot of men comments in these spaces are very concerning and disturbing!
This morning I was commenting about physical intimacy vs emotional intimacy.
And how I wanted real intimacy, not just intercourse.
Some xy commented "you're definitely not relationship material, just leave men alone, they're not just their to provide you with their resources......
That's disturbing because he seems to think women are just there to provide men with our 🐈
What are you talking about?
@@fatjackjack5416 I have no idea 😂💡
This for a different video
@@kylaarmstrong-benjamin8066 lol
Is bro wearing lip liner and gloss? Smh 😅😂😂
No haha, all natural, just the lighting I guess 😅
I dont think "Cèsar" is pronounced "Chee-Sa-Reh".
The name is Cesare! Here is how other people pronunce it: youglish.com/pronounce/cesare/english?
Julia the poisoner should be canonized as a SAINT. But we live in a Man's World, so that'll NEVER HAPPEN.
19:12 "aqua tofana...." @baileysarian 😅
If y'all know, you know.
Thank you ❤🎉
You are amazing
Your voice is like Velvet 😅
Thanks 😊
