I like these vintage broadcast clippings better than today's broadcast
When the FCD choir sang it was like the heavens opened up!!! Uncle Ralph Goodpastor and Julia Mae Kennedy did not allow anything less that excellence! Such a rich heritage!!! So wonderful to hear my godfather's voice today!
What a Joy to hear this broadcast. Those were the days! Thanks to everyone responsible for putting these on the air. There was just something so special when this choir started singing, you could feel the Holy Spirit in them and with them. GREAT!!!

gospmusluver, you are correct. There were a 100-125 more voices back in the early to mid 70s. Also, the voices were stronger and better trained, although recently I heard a CD that showed that the choir, although smaller, has developed some of these qualities again. It takes a lot of training of a choir to get it to sound exceptional. Today the trend is praise teams, and a lighter sound. So it's good we have these uploads on CZcams.
