- This El Niño season has been creating some special sandbars all over the North Shore of Oahu.
In this video we have Noa Deane, Ethan Ewing, Harry Bryant, Mason Ho, Coco Ho & Others Surf A Pure SAND Packed BACKDOOR/PIPELINE.

Yeah, I was wondering if that tie dye artwork effect was done in the glass itself (probably I guess) or as a pre dyed cloth inlay. Either way, it looks well done. Great symmetry. Mason's boards have some of the coolest art work.

@@hman7236 it's a nice shape but Mason rides crazy low volume tiny boards. I'm pretty sure I would sink it haha...
On closer look at the laps of the board, it's got to be resin tint in the glassing. But I definitely admire the attention to detail done to get that symmetry over the stringer. I've made a bunch of boards for myself (including using cloth inlays and exotic materials that are fussy to align) but I imagine this is super tricky to not end up with a mess.
Probably I would put a polyethylene sheet under the glass, folded along the stringer to dye, then flip once saturated and carefully pull the polyethylene out. Very tricky though as any sliding would asymmetrically stain the foam underneath. Kudos to whoever did the work!

Please no more people named Ethan, we have utube and can watch the old bud tour and I’m pretty sure target sells rollerblades. A whole continent thinks he’s awesome, and maybe he is a real sweetheart but I’ve been overexposed to captain Ozzie too long. There’s a few people here on the gulf coast of Florida who are his equals. Mason is so much better.
